say aku ada acoustic yg ada passive pickup tu....camno aku nak amplify sound dia kasi cun....mainly for live performance.
which option korang rasa better option utk dapat sound acoustic yg paling cun dari acoustic aku tu?
1. cucuk straight dalam electric guitar punye amp (sound tak berapa best).
2. cucuk dalam DI box - XLR out connect to PA amp (sound clearer tapi macam tak practical)
3. cucuk straight dalam PA amp (sound bolehlah tapi macam tak practical)
4. cucuk straight to a electric bass amp (sound dia better from using electric guitar amp)
5. miking straight to guitar body (dah try tapi susah nak kasi bunyi balance...esp during live function)
confuse confuse. any thoughts? |

cucuk kat DI-box, then output dia masuk kat amp (sbg monitor) dan XLR out masuk kat PA system (apsal tak praktikal plak??).. plus miking kat body guitar satu.. so ada dua input to PA system (from DI-Box & miking)..
kalau nak lagi best, beli ni:

acoustic guitar amp? - benda ni lagi mahal dari electric guitar amp aku rasa...macam tak berbaloi je nak pakai...
practicality penting pasal aku kadang2 kena buat Media Nite showcase pakai acoustic...normally event2 camni mana ada soundcheck ke hapa...bila time nak perform cucuk and jalan je...kadang event2 ni ada good technician, kadang2 takde...so tu yg sendiri kena ada barang standby in case the technician + barang situ yg tak best sgt punye
dah 2,3 event aku perform (events attended by Rais Yatim, Pak Lah) - aku guna miking kat body guitar je buat acoustic piece...tapi tak best sgt coz sound gitar dia sayup2 je keluar kat main speaker and monitor...so suara vocal je dengar lebih...tak balance langsung
(but despite that, event Media Nite Kementerian Kebudayaan group aku dapat gak Best Performance...hehe...ingat main cam siot je malam tu....)
so pasal problem2 ni tu yg aku tgh fikir2 cara praktical utk buat acoustic show macam ni next time supaya sound kita orang takde ler macam hampeh...pasal kena bawak barang sendiri
aku rasa next round aku bawak gitar + DI box...suruh PA guys kat situ cucuk kat mana patut...and buat gak miking macam ko suggest Zid...
and maybe aku try cari zoom macam tu...or any effect meant for electric-acoustic guitarslah...
any other suggestions utk situasi macam aku ni? |

btw -
macam Zoom A2 ni kan, or any other acoustic guitar effects...sound still ok ke kalau connect dia direct to an electric guitar amp....Ke kena lupakan guitar amp, but use connection to DI box + mixer jugak?
ada sapa2 dah test?
But for now aku nak try sendiri2 nak tgk sound quality macam mana this mode: - acoustic guitar ouput => zoom 505II/707II (select Acoustic mode) => guitar amp or PA mixer?
(pasal gua dah ada 505II/505II ni...tak yah beli effect baru...haha) |

oo behringer yg tu dia tiru Boss Acoustic Simulator.. yg tu bukan khas utk acoustic gitar, tu utk elektrik gitar.. ada satu lagi product Behringer, dia mcm GDI21 tapi kaler coklat.. aku pernah nampak Flop Poppy pakai masa perform acoustic show kat Pasaraya Hiong Kong (Sg. Buloh) a few years back.. ok la kot?
in terms of amplifying the sound, aku tak pasti... yg ni sesuai kot pasal dia ada XLR out, so boleh plug-in terus ke mixer! aku tak pasti sama ada boleh pakai both XLR + 1/4" out serentak atau tak.. try la dulu. Kalau boleh, means benda ni ada 2 output la, satu go to mixer (XLR), satu lagi masuk amp (1/4").. cool!

check out the link.. ada sound samples! murah je kot, around RM160 - 180.. eh.. behringer punya acoustic amp tak sampai RM350 kot? yg 15watts punya... with tube emulator (VCT technology)..

Hmmm...
Gitar acoustic ko ade passive pickup? X pakai bateri la?
Anyway, ade a few solutions aku blh suggest...
Kalo pakai DI, direct to PA, x yah nak masuk ke mane2 amp. This is paling practical la, sbb x leceh, senang nak mix, so on. Sound sedap x sedap tu, depends on the pickup itself. Dont know much bout acoustic pickups, but kalo dia tulis 'Fishman' tu, mesti sedap la, brand lain aku x tau. Kalo nak monitor, tarik dr PA, pakai 1 monitor kongsi dgn vokal...
Miking on body, susah skit nak buat, sbb ade sweet spot dia, so kena position betul2. Lagi 1 important factor is the type of mic. Ade jenis mic yg mmg intended miking for acoustic je. Tp biase org bantai je, asal bunyi sudah.
Kalo sound tu kuar sanyup2 je kat monitor, soundman kena adjust. Naik level tinggi2, pakai 2 mic, buat la ape patut. Balancing pon soundman kena tau gak, kena tau nak balance gitar dgn vokal & also instrument lain kalo ade...

tima kasih dgn idea2 bernas
quite interested with the behringer AD121, tapi kalau baca review depa cakap benda ni makan bateri kuat...nak cucuk adapter macam leceh je kalau kat event2 luar ni coz the stage is not within our control. so maybe the behringer stompbox or the zoom could be a better deal utk bateri longetivity
group aku pakai 2 gitar...got one passive DI already, bought for cheap seken hen...so maybe just have to find another DI or acoustic gadget for the other one...
but as i said, pasal different functions ni depa punye PA system quality pun lain2 and the sound engineer tu bukan kita boleh suruh lebih2 sgt tu...tu yg susah sikit tu...so kekadang asal bunyi sudahler...aaku pasrah...hehe |
