Play it! --> HEROIN - KKA

susah nak cakap lagu ni traditional ke modern.. ia ada kedua2 nya ...
suara vocal dgn vibrato mcm tu mcm ala2 penyanyi zaman merilyn monroe combine dgn muzik mcm ni menjadikannya unik.

guitar rythm crunch habis dan yang paling best solo guitar kerana berjaya menambahkan lagi mood ceria pada lagu ni.. great job!

nak tanya satu soalan..
ini hasil dari homestudio ker atau profesional ?
sound best sungguh..! boleh ajar tak..?

It's got great period flavour. Reminds me of music from my teenage years... the late '60s/early '70s.

With a bit more grit-power, your singer could easily sound like Janis Joplin!

Hey Mr G, nice keyboard work! But you really need a Rhodes or a Wurly for the piano embellishments, and a Hammond B-3 (or any decent software version of it) for the organ fills.

Fab stuff! Cool

BTW, if you're thinking of releasing this, you might want to edit out the bass at the end.

thanks synthman!

ahh the keyboard sound on this one is a bit awful eh?
we did a pre pro using the PC and the hammond and the piano
really sounds thick!

but in the studio.. when plugged in to the mixer, everything sounded like something coming out from a portasound. eh no.. like General Midi on a lousy soundcard. really frustrating. any idea why? FYI my KORG is 16 bit.

Are the keyboard parts in stereo? If they are, you can thicken them up by not panning too wide.

Also, compression, a bit of EQ boost (high/low) and a touch of reverb should help solidify the piano/organ sound.

If that doesn't work, you might want to double up the parts (if you have spare tracks) or add some subtle chorusing on the organ.

But I think compressing or using some kind of aural exciter program (i.e. BBE Sonic Maximizer plugin) on the parts should do the trick.

haha apa ni apa ni..
but yea la.. omar dah booking awal2 lagi. Very Happy

Synthdude.. thanks man. I'll keep that in mind. We're going to have more freedom in the upcoming recording so I think I can spend some time tweaking the sound.

Like the Technics WSA1 keyboard workstation (its sequencer with 3.5in floppy and five-octave keybed are truly top drawer!) which has kickass organ, piano, brass and drum sounds.

I've had mine for about 10 years and I believe you can find a used one for RM1000-2000 here.

It's probably the best pro synth Technics ever made, and you can check out one of the layered brass presets (slightly compressed) on this track:
