Just wondering you guys, what's your main rig?
Let me start the ball rollin Smile

Genre: Death Metal, Heavy Metal
Guitar: ESP LTD EX400BD w/ EMG 81/81 & .11
Amp: Peavey 5150 (with electroharmonix tubes)
Effects: Ibanez TS7, Ibanez MSL, Danelectro PB&J Delay, Yamaha Chorus

The brightness of the emg 81's helps when I downtune to C standard. Removes the muddyness commonly associated with downtuning. Also helps brighten up the mahogany wood.

Although the 5150 has a lot of gain on tap, I find that running the tubescreamer in front of the amp tightens up the tone a lot. And I NEVER scoop my mids. I run the MSL(metalscreamer) and delay in the efx loop for lead/solo boost. The metalscreamer actually sounds a lot like the TS with the Mid bump and all. For cleans, the chorus pedal is a must, 5150 have crappy cleans Razz. But I rarely use cleans anyway.

Im considering getting a loop master pedal so that I dont have to tap dance on the efx pedals. Leceh ah.

Alrite korang start posting! Smile
