Reclusive Malaysian auteur, svengali, CK Lim, one of the most enigmatic film makers of this century, focuses his attention to Panda Head Curry?'s "Samy", the first track from their debut album "One Thousand Homo Humpbacks"
Lim creates a stark minimalist backdrop sharply contrasting the primal urgency against a climate of fear accompanying a frenzied, yet complacent Diaspora. He believes that we have to choose between post cultural narrative and Sartreist existentialism. Thus, Lim suggests the use of the modern paradigm of narrative to deconstruct outmoded perceptions of narrativity.
