I dont think you are going to get a tube amp brand new for RM2000. What sort of music do you play???...and how big are the gigs/shows that you play??

Well you will not get a tube amp for that amount of money...
Here are a couple of examples that you can choose from for you budget...
-Line 6 Spider II 2x12 combo 150watts RM1960
-Marshall MG-250DFX 2x12 combo (50w+50w) RM1850
There are many more to choose from...so its up to you to go and do the research. But if you are asking if you can get a tube amp for RM2000, the answer is big fat NO. Solidstate or hybrids** are the only way to go for you.
Personally, since you are going to be gigging i would recommend you to get the Line 6 Spider II amp. This is purely on basis of how much bang for buck you can get for your money. Its a sweet amplifier for its price. very loud and has a plethora of amp sounds.... for some who is just starting out this is the tool...plus they are solidstate as well, so no worrying about changing your tubes everynow and again.
Most important of all...make sure you go to the shops and try everything... if you find something that sounds sweet to your ears and its within your budget...go for it. trust your ears... and dont listen to what the shop assistants say....99.99% of the time they are just full of shit and dont know anything about what theyare trying to sell (Bentley is the worst.)
hope that helps a bit..

**hybrids - Guitar amps with 12AX7 tube preamp tubes but with a solidstate powerstage. Example amplifiers - Marshall VS100R, Marshall VS265R, Hughes & Kettner Attax 100.. etc etc |

Now you can get full tube amps for under 1k.
Ibanez Valbee. With effects loop some more.
5 watt (good to be able to achieve that tube tone without being too loud)
Too bad I can't find it where I am at.
In Singapore it's selling quite cheap. |

Cool...this sounds really interesting.... goes to show how much out of touch I am with musical technology nowadays... I guess I am stuck in the emulation world for the time being.
Erylasia just introduced me to Amplitube Metal..heh really cool piece of software...very convincing too... Cuma its quite heavy on the CPU lah...time for a PC upgrade??? hmmmmmm....... |
