Hi guys,
I'm into the Flaming Lips, and I've purchased the above pedal to expand my creativity.
As the pedal is actually designed for guitar, I've also purchased a cheap 80's keyboards Yamaha Portasound PSR-460, which is surprisingly ok (ada setting untuk digital synth, surprising.....modulation, decay, spectrum etc etc).
So nak mintak opinion, pakar pakar synth di sini (ie Mr Grymlock), kalau aku connect the el-cheapo keyboard to the Line6 FM4 Filter Modeller, what factory preset sound would help me emulate an analogue synth? Piano ke, Electric piano ke? Guitar ke? Jazz Organ ke? |

aku suka bunyi cam "Vintage Lead" dalam preset Vsti KORG MS20. paling hampir bleh dapat pakai keyboard separa pekak aku tu is by using Flute sound from the keyboard, then main2 modulation and pedal wah. bleh la dapat akan2.
kalau nak sound yg bila tekan ada bunyi "ketuk" skit pastu berjela panjang. aku pakai Rock Organ. But tulah. since aku ada seketol Wah pedal saja to play with, takde effek lain. tak banyak mender aku leh experimen. nak main2 variable pun kena from the keyboard but only 1 variable saja aku leh control in realtime.
i know this probably doesn't help at all . hopefully others will join in and help out.

How do you play keyboards with the wah while sitting down?
Apa lagik effects besides wah kau pakai? |

i've try connecting a nord to my PODxt.
can do some weird stuff with the delay and the effects on the synth. but nothing near a piano or and "real" insturment sound

ramzi, aku berdiri ah. other effects that i use and control using the modulation wheel (not pedal) is chorus and sometimes phaser. but very jarang pakai. biasanya just pedal wah. skrg ni tgh pikir, nak invest on virtual instruments setup, midi keyboard, Laptop, or beli effect pedals/multi effects. pakai pedal senang setup kat gig. kalau laptop ni.. karang hang ke pe... dah kecoh. but virtual instruments banyak yg bagus2 lah. so now mmg tak tau nak go with which one.

Tulah bro, aku baru beli A/B selector, I plan to run guitar and el-cheapo Yamaha keyboard through pedalboard yg ada Line6 FM4, Wah, Danelectro French Toast Octave Distortion, Phaser (nak beli ni) and OC-2. SO kira oklah tu kan?
AKu rasa lebih baik kau pakai pedals, nanti kat gig ada orang blue toothkan virus kat kau susah pulak, then again kalau ada laptop, time guitarist solo terlampau, boleh tgk pramugara yg terlampau hahahahahah |

yeah dude. will probably go with pedal effects lah. time guitarist solo terlampau, aku boleh lempor jek ngan distortion pedal ke pe hehe.
eksperimen saja dude. don't worry, takde yg salah punya. eh ko ni kat mana? bila nak balik? ke dah balik eh?
btw aku pun teringin sekali nak ada Nord seketul. kalau ada jumpa murah2 kasitau ah hehe.

3 minggu lagik balik, nasib baik tak balik this week, kalau tak dah lama tersangkut kat airport. Sunday ni aku nak pi Carboot sale carik keyboard cheesy cheesy yg murah. Hari tu kat e-bay ada Nord for 500 pounds, ok lah tu
Kat KL ada tak orang boleh betulkan keyboard, aku ada Casiotone lah, but power socket dia dah tercabut from circuit board, can be rescued ke kena campak masuk sampah je?
Bro, buku apa bagus untuk belajar keyboard? Ada keyboard for Dummies ke?
now aku main taram je bunyi masuk, left hand fingering aku, aku pakai gap 3 keys macam power chord |

hah part repair2 tu mmg aku tak sure. aku rasa yg problem nak repair ni kalau synth/keyboard lama2 yg dah takde dikeluarkan. pasal parts pun takleh nak order dah. but kalau yg sikit2 and tak perlukan replacements parts rasanya still leh cari orang utk repair kot. tang sapa leh repair, kat mana nak repai, baik ko refer kat Lohan. bak kata synthdude dulu, Lohan ni dah macam muzium synth.
ko nak belajar pe wei? fingering ke? buku2 beginner piano/keyboards sume ada wei pasal tu. ada nombor2 dia tulis kalau nak tekan chord. nombor2 tu kira tunjuk lah pakai jari apa nak tekan combination keys tu. tapi kan.. hehe aku pun main sebat jek. dedulu masa belajo mmg cantik jek jari jari letak. siuman jek nampak. skrg..amik ko. dah cam nak parut kelapa.
wah 3 minggu lagi. balik2 ..jejak jek kl..besok terus main gig.
