Straddling the line between the classic punk energy of the legendary Fugazi and today's manic metal/hardcore upstarts System Of A Down, you get the hard-hitting outfit NAO.
Arguably the most progressive band in the current Malaysian local Chinese independent scene, their politically charged live set, with its fair share of double pedal thumping, funkoid metal interludes, jarring dual guitar hammerings and spirited vocals, had fists pumping the air in glory.
Never far from voicing out social concerns and addressing anti-racial issues through its punk template, the band is rare breed unafraid of hitting a raw nerve.

DIAN BANG
An emerging band from the Malaysian Chinese indie music scene, Dian Bang consists of a girl and two guys who did their music practice in their bedroom and utilize laptops, geared up guitars and keyboards to create music at their live shows. They're sound revolves around a lot of Electro-shoegazing and experimental pop, inspired mostly by acts like Slowdive, Kraftwerk and Kitaro.
