bros, need ur help. i know this matter has been asked for quite a number of times but to my eyes, the "Search" function didn't reveal any solution to this.
i've just bought the following files from www.belila.com as recommended by one of the forum members here (all files in their respective folders):
1) Toontrack EZdrummer DFH VSTi;
2) Toontrack EZdrummer EZX Claustrophobic;
3) Toontrack EZdrummer EZX Drumkit From Hell;
4) Toontrack EZdrummer EZX Latin Percussion;
5) Toontrack EZdrummer EZX Twisted Kit; and
6) Toontrack EZdrummer EZX Vintage Rock.
Within my limited knowledge, item no. 1 is the master of all the other files, without which the rest of the files can't be used. When I clicked the folder, I can see "Install" folder, "Updates" folder, "Operation Manual" in PDF and "Read Me" text file. the "Read Me" file reads:
Thank you for purchasing dfh EZdrummer!
To install simply run the installers for your platform located in the 'install' folder.
Additional instructions can be found in the Operation Manual situated in this directory.
A PDF viewer is required to access the documentation.
Toontrack
April 2006
clicked the "Install" folder, "Mac" & "PC" folder appeared. clicked "PC", i can see the following files & folders:
1) "EZHOME" folder - Inside got EZX_Cocktail
2) "program files"
3) "EZdrummer Installer" - (Windows Installer Package .msi file)
4) "EZX Cocktail Installer - (Windows Installer Package .msi file)
5) "PLUG" winrar file - when i unpacked, it contains "ezdrummer.dll"
after successful installations of item 3 & 4 above, i can't see any shortcuts whatsoever to enable me to open it like normal softwares do. from what i know, i need to have a sequencer to enable this VSTi. i'm using Reaper & Ableton Live Lite. when i run any of those, i still can't open the file.
did i miss something in the installation process? what should i do? diharap abg2 sekalian boleh memberikan tunjuk ajar kepada saya yg baru berjinak2 dengan dunia rakaman ni... beli mahal2 tapi x leh guna...  |

hhm cannot help with ableton live
tapi deadzid should be able to help you
dah try set ableton to recognize EZdrummer as a VST plugin?

tu lah, nak kena tunggu deadzid. bab nak detect plugin pun tak tau... baru je nak start recording VST etc. sebelum ni record guitar & vocals direct je, tak godek sequencer langsung...
or maybe salah install kot? thanks omar. |

selalunya install Vsti atau vst akan dia tanya nak install kat mana plugin tersebut, selalunya orang akan set semua vst ke satu folder, contoh, C:\vstplugins , then suruh albleton search folder vst kat situ.. nak add tu plak tak tahu cemana, maybe ada dlm help ableton atau ko leh google

aku tak sure la Live Lite ada support utk VSTi ke tak..
anyway try je la...
- klik menu "Options > Preferences"
- klik on tab "File Folder" on the left
- kat section "Plug-In Sources", klik on button "Browse"
- locate kat mana ko instal VST utk ezdrummer tadi (as described by Huzai)
- then klik on button "Rescan"
- close the "Preferences" window
- klik menu "View > Browser > Plug-In Devices"
- locate ezdrummer from the list and drag it on a MIDI track

zid, aku dah try apa yg ko suruh. tapi setengah benda tu takde kat live lite. aku ingat nak try guna sonar plak la. reaper & ableton memang nampak simpler & undeniably bagus, cuma kat sini tak ramai org guna. so, budak2 hingusan mcm aku ni susah nak dapat tunjuk ajar.
tak pe lah, aku tahan sabar sikit lagi. dah siap transaction dengan belila.com on sonar 6 tu nanti, aku bgtau korang.. ingat nanti nak bawak sume files yg aku ada ngan laptop skali ke rumah or ofis sape2 yg boleh tolong buat setup... ada sape2 yg sudi? 
anyway, thanks a lot zid!!!!  |

kesedihan di tahap melampau ni.... dah lah tunggu lama nak dapek file ni, tak leh install lak... jus kreatif dah meleleh-leleh, went down the drain cam 2 je... 
ada sapa2 yg bermurah hati nak bg pertolongan bg source file tak? aku sanggup jumpa korang kat ofis ke & bg habuan skit...... sapa yg sudi silalah PM saya. terima kasih |

Ehem tumpang thread ek.
Member aku ader Yamaha DD55(digital drum). Ader lubang midi in/out, so kire bleh masuk PC/laptop lah kan... kene beli USB/Midi lah dulu.
Rasenye, Ableton Live bleh link tak ngan DD55 ni? And, bleh pakai Ezdrummer tak? Aku dah google dah. Tak jumpe plak.
Nak test, lambat lagi...
Fyi, aku baru jek beli Toneport UX2. Still tgh study and explore Gearbox ngan Ableton Live. Pelan-pelan lah kot. Terujaaa... |

betul la tu..beli MIDI-->USB cable.
masuk kat host software(nuendo/ableton live..etc.)
Set a midi track to get input from your MIDI interface.
assign output to selected VST plugin/Sampler.
kadang2 ade drum machine yang gune mapping lain. tak cam General Midi, susah sikit.
e.g kick dia pakai note G2 rather than the standard C1.
so kena la cari jalan nak remap the drums. Depends on wat sampler you use of course.
pernah aku pakai BFD ngan Battery yang bole "learn" midi.
maksudnye ko click learn kat sampler tu then ko pukul trigger yang ko nak pakai untuk sample tu.
hhmm...aku pon tak paham ape aku tulis..

ezDrummer nampak menarik. die stand alone ke?
meaning kite buat drum loop for whole song and import jadikan wav pastu sumbat kt dalam mana2 recording software (audition, cubase) ? |
