				| Recently I have been taking a keen interest on alternate tunings, especially the "open D tuning"
I have been fiddling with this tuning, learning the various chord shapes and all... With interesting results i must say...

Anyone else here using this tuning?? If you have another tuning apart from your bog standard EADGBE or drop D tuning... I would love to hear from you.

for me i use these tunings every now and again
 thats:-

DADF#AD - the open D tuning i like so much

EADAAE - a tuning I got from a magazine interview with Stone Gossard years ago when they first released Vs. the two high A's are in unison to the pitch of the fretted 12th note on the low A string. (An octave higher than the low A string), this creates a drone effect when let ring.

DADAAE - Stone Gossard's tuning above modified with a drop D on the low E string.

I'll record something when i get the chance...
