About PUSHPAPURA

Albeit the name Pushpapura is only a spatter months old, this Dungun based five-piece has been writing and playing music for over years, formerly under names of Stubborn Dolls; New Age Outrage. A combination of legal considerations and group consensus that the name wasn't wholly indicative of their act, they chose the new and peculiar name, Pushpapura.

Tarmimis friend, Hafiz, devoted the name for the band and that chap was amenable; intensifying Tarmimis sore after having a 6-month sulk-tired-agony-mental distortion therapy. The band first met at The Mosh Pit Studio, where Tarmimi, Pdaus, Zam and Buja liberate their young spirit. Those were in the early hours of Pushpapura, consisting 4 members where Nawa were yet-to-be involved. Moments passed. Tireless practicing, shameless self-promotion; Tarmimi, Pdaus, Zam and Buja engaged themselves practicing and a knack for writing new songs for the 2004 agenda.

The friendship between Pushpapura and Nawa came as near as no matter. Furthermore, Nawa was a lone ranger-musician and its a good time to seek the truth by false. 1st January, 1st gig, 1st act band. Nawa acts as sessions but he didnt know that Pushpapura had already presume Nawa as the band members, and after being offered by Tarmimi, he officially joined the band when they were heading back to Dungun, after performing their first gig ever. And the rest, is history.

The band is currently busy promoting their second release, Prejudice Is Childish; self-recorded at The Mosh Pit Studio. Songs which are straight forward, simple, yet deviating in many different aspects.
