Lead single off Underdosing, FM, released on i-bands

After months of conception, writing and production the Underdosing EP has finally been wrapped up.

We started recording last Saturday and final mixing concluded around 11.30pm tonight. All that's left is a little bit of cleaning up and then we can kick the gears in motion and release the record. Won't be long, most probably will be a few days.

Til then here's something for all you guys out there who have supported us thru the long, ridiculous journey to completion. We've uploaded the lead single, FM, for all you guys to enjoy, right here on our page.

See you at Paul's Place on the 10th for the Nirvana thing!

My Blur Baby (EP Version Outtake) released on i-bands

Hey everyone.

We've just released an outtake of the EP Version of My Blur Baby on our i-bands page.

it's a little bit 'turbo' compared to the regular versions of the song, and has slightly altered lyrics too. This is the first of two takes which the latter eventually made it onto the My Blur Baby EP.

New EP in the works, first single is released

After a slew of shows and brief flirtations with the radio, we found ourselves back at ArtXcite Studio. Our first time recording without Syn felt a bit different (he will be missed). We got new toys! Yan wielded his brand new Squier Strat and I'm waiting for my Jag. After a while Adib and Chey came on up and we went straight into the studio and hooked everything up.

My Blur Baby came out a few hours later. We released it last Friday on Myspace and here on i-bands. It is our first single from the upcoming EP. We decided to record it in fragments, song by song, one song per night. We are more relaxed this way. The rest of the EP will be finished...in our estimation...in about a month. The last concept was scrapped altogether so we're starting from scratch here. This is also our first self produced EP, so it may sound a bit raw and primal around the edges. Apologies.

So there it is. We hope you'll enjoy My Blur Baby just as much as we enjoyed recording it, stay tuned for more updates!

Last week Umbrella Records went big time on air
with huge coverage on our main man Siang and
our compilation, Come Together. The perfect
starter to get this thing up and running again.

Now, its time for us to preserve the momentum.

On 27th April (next Thursday), The Fridays will
appear on Traxx FM's RockIt Her Way show
hosted by DJ Maya. She will be talking to us about
the new record, our musical influences, the
impending Revenge Of The Independents and why
Adib Azhari is so damn hot in our primary pic with
his shirt above his head. We're going on air
anytime between 10pm to 12 midnight so tune in
early to catch a glimpse. The Regret - Umbrella
wave of mutilation has commenced
(hahahaha...macam sial).

Well, thanks for all the support you all have given
all this time. Sorry for Revenge Of The
Independents, don't worry, it is scheduled for 10th
June 2006 at Paul's Place...I will put out the flyer
when Joe Kidd finishes up on it, there's more
music coming your way...we're currently working
the upcoming record...so keep on supporting us
even if we do play like dried crap on public urinals
(or so we've heard...hehe..). Thanks again.

I couldn't send copies to Kedai Auntie cos the cops turned the store inside out, sampai auntie terus turunkan semua flyers gig underground and pulangkan semua demo-demo kepada bands. Ishh...sampai Auntie pun kena...kesian.

We will send more copies to Central Market and other independent record stores in the coming weeks.

The final tracklist has been prepared and we will be recording in a month or two (paling lama 2 months..relaxlah kasi practice dulu). We also are open to any gig invitations or engagements.
