Disgruntled is a hardcore/punk rock band, started by 5 kids who were 15 years old and still schooling in 1998. That time, the kids talked and planned a lots of things such as producing stuff and playing shows but unfortunately none of them worked. A year later, the band experienced one of the most tragic moment in their lives as their beloved friend and bandmate (Hafiz) passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident. Later that year, there was a change in the band's line-up where Qush were added as the lead guitarist. They used several names such as Flagrant and Bankshot before finally changed the name to Disgruntled as the band got serious in 2000 and released a 7 song rehearsal/demo tape entitled "Selfish To The Max!", recorded only by using a lo-fi tape recorder. In 2001, the band joined forces with some friends from other bands (Perishable and Idiot Idol) and released a 3 way split tape called "Seize The Day". After the release, an old friend named Faizal (Lalok) was added into the band's line-up. Year 2003 was an active year as the band played several shows and released 2 more splits, one with a local band called Fixative and another band called Brain Ghetto from Macedonia.
