A Day At The Zoo consists of 4 musicians who are of different musical backgrounds. With founding members, Johnathan (Vocals) and Justin (Lead Guitars), the band started originally playing with friends doing social events with cover songs from various artists such as Bon Jovi, Jamiroquai, Santana, Deep Purple, Maroon5, P.O.D. and a full range of other top 40 songs. Wagner Daniel (Drums) and Mozad (Bass) - both of whom are well recognized secessionist musicians who played with well known local artists for many years - linked with the band in 2004 and since then there was chemistry in the band.
The music of A Day At the Zoo is mainly progressive rock. With so many influences in the band - Johnathan (Modern Rock), Justin (Classic Rock), Mozad (Fusion) and Wagner (Funk and Jazz) - the band manages to find its own original sound combining everyones influences and styles.
The band networks with various charitable organizations in helping people live better lives. A Day At The Zoo is driven, inspired and motivated to communicate love and positive lifestyle through their music. Most of the songs speaks of love, relationships, life and God.
The name A Day At The Zoo was inspired by band leader Justin who explains In a childs point of view, going to the zoo always means fun and excitement, so we ROCK likewise!!!!
