Ok...I am finally back in i-bands after going missing in action over and over. Anyone still remember me??
Music is still in my blood. Now that I have quit my IT job and hopefully I will quit for good. Otak dah berkarat untuk programming (Ajeep will know what I mean). This time I am thinking of returning to the music scene full time (am I crazy?? Mungkin dah nyanyok). I am thinking of doing an internet radio for non-mainstream music to cater for Malaysians. Do you think it will work?? |

Well, if you knew me years ago, you probably know how I dragged myself into Traxx FM's alternative rock show. With the help of my former DJ friend, Maya, I got to join in her shows a few times. Since then, I got addicted. Maya has since got her contract terminated. We talked about doing podcasting, internet radio but none of us really push for it.
Now that I am planning to do it full time, I will push harder this time. Got to "cari makanlah" 
Basically, my intention is to have a 24 hours radio show for alternative rock music. I can accept metal and any rock material too as long as there's no Britney Spears or Frank Sinatra. Thinking of purchasing a server and run it from home initially. Kalau i-bands nak contribute, I memang sukahati untuk terima contribution. I am fed up of commercial radio stations in this country terminating good rock shows from our airwave. So, I am not going to let it happen to my internet radio. I hope to avoid censorship too. I am very willing to get it hosted outside the country of it's an issue.
I am a fanatic fan of BBC DJ, the late John Peel. So, I am hoping to have a radio show similar to his but in Malaysian version. I don't mind having artistes from overseas contributing too. Internet has made the world very small anyway.
First of all, I need to write my business plan. Hope I can find some sponsors. So that I can set up the infrastructure. I will eventually need help from you guys here too.
I don't know whether I am considered crazy or not but my passion has led me to what I am doing now. |

Actually I have mentioned to Ajeep ages ago about collaboration with i-bands but nothing came out of it from our side (Rafil, Maya and myself). I think it was 1-2 years ago. We all slept on our dreams  I am sure that Ajeep remembers it
I really hope to give it another try to push it further. After all, I was the first crazy one who wanted an internet radio. We need a few crazy fellows to carry our our crazy ideas, don't we?? Hahaha...
In fact, I am planning to meet up with a few "crazy" people to discuss about it but some of them are in overseas now. Going to meet a fellow "crazy" guy this weekend for discussion - someone related to Nice Stupid Playground (not a band member). I would love to meet up with Ajeep one of these days..it has been ages since we last met.  |
