Fariz, thanks so much for your compliments...don't worry, aku takkan buka class punyer..sure tak laku...kalau nak jumpa aku pun, kena cari kat gunung ledang...tempat di mana musical rejects from the 80's lepak!

Omar....you're the man!

Suicide....ooo...fast track...patut pun gemuk bunyi nyer...but actually the most important determinant of tone is in the fingers...so you must be doing something right bro!

Music tastes aku include everything...except country and dangdut jer kot...

Aku memang suka semua jenis music, but bila aku pegang gitar main rock live...that feels like the most comfortable thing...its kinda like..I am home...and aku memang sebati dgn rock music dari kecik lagi...masa aku 3 tahun..Bday present aku "Santana 3" dan aku tidur di dodoi dgn lagu 'Black Magic Woman'. Dari kecik aku suka dengar semua benda...tapi Rock has that special place in my heart and soul...and when I play rock music live, the 'high' that I get cant be matched by playing any other music...I eat, breathe and shit rock music...although I dont look like a rocker anymore...but it's in my veins...
Saper saper pun boleh claim dia orang rocker...pakai cam rock star...tapi bila tanya info pasal dia org punyer favourite band pun tak leh jawab...sedih...cam aku minat Van Halen...semua album hafal...lagu mana dari album mana...tahun berapa...Van Halen punya anak Birthday dia biler...bapak david lee roth keje aper...david lee roth pernah gaduh ngan Eddie sebab ngorat bini dia...bla bla bla...
Sorry la boss...kadang kadang aku nyampah dgn posers ni....aku masuk studio pakai baju pejabat...dia org ejek ejek aku...padahal masa dia org kecik kecik dok dengar lagu hindustan, aku umur 4 tahun dah dengar Uriah Heep...umur 9 tahun aku dok analyse lagu Deep Purple...tapi of course, dalam collection aku ada la Mariah Carey...Whitney Houston...but I ROCK more than all these fuckin' posers put together..
To all you posers out there...lick and kiss my ass!!! Hah!

Sorry la kalau aku emotional...tapi aku tengah nyampah benor dgn posers ni...kalau tak kacau aku takper la...ni sibuk nak ejek2 org pulak...nak ajak 'cutting heads' ala citer 'Crossroads' ker?

Begitulah perasaan hiba atuk sekarang....sekian tima kacih!

Untuk tengok atuk happy...click lah link Bode's Noise Box dibawah dan bersuka ria lah anda!!!(sempat juga promote tu...heh heh...)

Wah.. Dr Bode.. akhirnya ader jugak yang minat Van Halen... aku pun minat jugak tapi tak tahu detail macam tu la.. suka dengar lagu yg teramat best composition nye tu..

Kat Studio pun ader orang jenis ejek2 orang? So agree with you ...tak kan minat rock sampai 24 jam nak kena pakai baju Iron Maiden jer kan?.. best jugak kalau boleh elaborate cerita poseur kat studio.. cerita la Dr Bode...

I completely understand where you are coming from Bode..

My musical education started when I was still a fetus!! No joke..

My mother told me I used to kick a lot before I was born, and my mother actually used to put a pair of headphones over her tummy with Bad Company blairing through them...and she soon found out that I stopped kicking everytime she does that.

After I was born, I used to cry alot..(difficult baby probably trying to get mum to buy me a guitar lol) So whenever they wanted to calm me down, she played the same records. Magically, I just fell into a deep sleep, giving my parents a well deserved break.

Even today whenever i listen to Bad Company, I feel a sense of security, a warmth that i cannot explain that just lulls me to sleep. I grew up listening to my dad's records, Uriah Heep, Janis Joplin, Meat Loaf, Dire Straits, Bad Company, Deep Purple...and I must say rock is where i feel at home with just like you Bode. A lot of people these days wear it like a fashion item, following trends. Nothing else irritates me to see these people wearing black, with piercings everywhere but know nothing when asked the essential things about rock. Banyak orang tak sangka aku ni mat metal bila diorang tengok aku first time. To me, rock is a way of life..almost like a religion to me

Ade sekali tu ada satu mamat ni...fuh nampak macam metal abis...bila tanya what is the first Metallica album, dengan confidentnya jawab the Black Album...macamana ni???

At the age of 7 (1983) my dad went to America, came home and handed me my first LP record, Metallica's "Kill Em All". It was the best thing since slice bread to me.. I listened to it day and night...While others were busy listening to Boy George Karma Chameleon...i was listening to the heaviest music at the time..And i felt this urge to find heavier and heavier stuff...the rest is history..

But my interest in music has actually made me listen to other genres as well... I had to open my eyes and open my mind. A lot of musicians of a particular genre i.em Metal contrive themselves to listen to metal only. ..I learnt appreciate the soul of Aretha Franklin's haunting voice, the genius of Miles Davis and the amazing Alan Holdsworth...to name a few.

Im lucky that my dad was a rocker...

Ahh..Ridzi...ada juga somebody yang parents dia 'menyusu' dia dengan rock music yer? Laughing Deep Purple and Rainbow was my staple diet for a good 4-5 years up to I was 12 years old. Then after that my mum bought me Pink Floyd 'The Wall'. I remember ,when I was in boarding school, whenever my parents come and visit me, all my friends will get excited because they know my parents is gonna bring some heavy shit for me, and thus the dormitory will get a new healthy dose of hard rock. I renenber when i was 15, my Mum brought me Dio-'Last in Line', Rush 'Grace under Pressure' and.....jeng jeng jeng.....Van Halen '1984'.....and from that time onwards, I decided that 'home' is onstage...with the guitar in hand...legs wide apart...mouth wide open while trying to be the fastest axe-slinger on earth...and my thirst for guitardom went to a real jumpstart since then....the guitar was also my only friend during 'bad times'...when I was in UK during the first 2 years times were hard...all my friends were in different cities...I was the only kid with the longest hair in school... and I was alone, just with my guitar...and the guitar kept me sane...and being in a public school full of white snobs who were racists(wey...no offence ok bro? not a generalization...! He he!), the only coloured kid who were kinda 'adopted' by the school's gangsters were me...and how that happened was after I played loud rock music in their own cathedral,..and they thought...whoa...a coloured guy who plays the white man's devil music in 'their' place of worship have to be BAD....he he he....
I love my parents...they were really strict with the religious aspects of life, but they gave me music, because they preferred me to be spending time at home trying to figure out solos rather than hanging out in shopping malls as kutu lepak...wasting my time while geting into unsavoury activities...
Now, I'm glad that you can understand my feelings on how frustrating it is to deal with posers rite?
Nevermind bro...let them prance around with their goatees, dreadlock hair, pierced whatever...but we know that we are for real...

...we are the ROCK AND ROLL CHILDREN...!!!(...launching into the riff of Whitesnake's 'Children of the Night')...yeah ma babies....come to Papa....heh heh...[/img]

Heh yeah....no offence taken Bro....you are right the white are snobbish as hell. God know the shit I have been through in Oxford trying to make it in the music circuit...I consider myself Malay anyway. I love my parents too...strict in religion...but gave me the gift of music. Smile

Pink Floyd was also a part of my staple musical diet... But right now im gonna listen to some Jefferson Airplane...

"do you want somebody to looove....do you need somebody to love...""

ahhh i have played that far too much... puts on Hendrix instead "All Along The Watchtower" Oh yeeeeeeaahhhhh...
