Yeah i would second that. The main idea for mastering is as a second oppinion. That is why mastering studios would normally be specially build with the best accousitc solution in mind. In a mixing studio, designers has to compensate the sound qulity to a certain extent by providing space for engineers and artist to work with comfort. They also have to work around the biggest accoustic problem of all... the mixing desk itself.
Besides, mastering engineers would normally use only the best sounding equipments around. Most top engineers would have used their processors for years on thousands of records they know exactly what to expect from them and where to use them. That's why it's best for the mixing engineer to leave all the post production to the mastering guy and just send the file as it is when it was mixed down. _________________ -MB- |

Basically, mastering consists of following these processes in order:
1. Equalization
2. Ordering the Songs
3. Compressing/Limiting
4. Reverb
5. Normalizing
So if we are simply creating CDs for our family and friends, there is really no reason not to do some simple mastering for our own recordings. Lagipun byk info kat internet/buku boleh belajar sedikit demi sedikit.
Lagipun kan ada i-bands untuk orang komen2, kutuk2 hasil lagu kita hehehe.. boleh improve gak tuh! _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |

Aku ada terbaca mmg mastering kena buat macam tu. Tapi tak la sampai 2-3 minggu. 3 hari - seminggu la untuk refresh. Pastu kena play kat macam2 system lain jugak(radio kereta, hi-fi) utk pastikan EQ yang kita buat sebelum ni ok. Mintak komen orang lain dsb. _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |

Guna Battery 2.0 .. itu je lah yg paling senang. Aku ada d/load software "Sample Tank" utk drum gak from company yg sama dgn amplitube. tapi tak tau guna dan aku rasa Battery yang lebih user friendly. _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |
