its one of those machines where you wave your hands above it ,depending on how close/far it changes its pitch/frequency.not sure what category its sposed to be in tho.. |

It used to be a favourite stage toy of Jimmy Page in Led Zep shows during the '70s.
You can watch him go wild on it in the Led Zep movie 'The Song Remains The Same'. If I'm not mistaken, it's part of the extended solo during 'Whola Lotta Love'.

yeah, i was quite intrigue with theremins too. i downloaded the schematics of a moog theremin that was published way back in the 40s i think. if you want i could give it to you, I ask a friend who's an engineer by profession that its quite possible to build it yourself or you could send the schematics at an electronic shop in jalan pasar or somewhere and ask to build it for you. there are also optical theremins kits which you are suppose build yourself that you can buy from ebay. this would cost a lot less then its suppose to.
