sekian ma kasih..oh ya kawan sy tu pakai guitar yamaha RG yg dah pakai pick up humbukcer aktif dan strat fender
mana lagi elok beli yg VHF or UHF....sbb apa pilihan samson sbb yg ni agak murah sikit utk used item banding dengan line 6 or model2 lain _________________ itu misai ka tanglong |

From a US. Dept. of Commerce poster:
* VLF (Very Low Freq.) = 0 - 30kHz (audio)
* LF (Low Freq.) = 30 - 300 kHz (eg, Loran)
* MF (Medium Freq.) = 300kHz - 3MHz (eg, AM broadcast)
* HF (High Freq.) = 3MHz - 30MHz ("short wave")
* VHF (Very High Freq.) = 30MHz -300MHz (eg, FM broadcast, analog TV (VHF), civil aviation, analog public service)
* UHF (Ultra High Freq.) = 300MHz - 3GHz (eg, analog TV (UHF), analog cellphones)
* SHF (Super High Freq.) = 3GHz - 30GHz

Quote: | VHF waves are not very good at finding their way around walls, buildings and rugged landscape. Therefore range will be significantly reduced for VHF radios in these environments. That may not necessarily be a problem if the range needed is only a few hundred feet. You can also add an external antenna to an indoor VHF base station that will reduce or eliminate this problem. |
Quote: | Both UHF and VHF radios are prone to line of sight factors, but VHF a little more so. The waves make it through trees and rugged landscapes, but not as well as UHF frequencies do. However, if a VHF wave and a UHF wave were transmitted over an area without barriers, the VHF wave would travel almost twice as far. This makes VHF easier to broadcast over a long range. If you are working mostly outdoors, a VHF radio is probably the best choice, especially if you are using a base station radio indoors and you add the external antenna. |
So Long range & open space = VHF
Close range & blocked area = UHF _________________ KreativWerks MediaSolutions|Soundcloud | YouTube | Facebook |

Both UHF and VHF have it's own advantages and disadvantages. There are several factors for consideration such as signal congestion, location and cost. In essence though, there are no technical differences between the two.
However, I believe the majority wireless units in the market including the Samson Airline model you mentioned, are UHF. The primary advantage of UHF operation is that there is less chance of interference because of more available frequency spectrum.
In other words, don't worry about whether or not it is UHF/VHF. More important factors to consider are sound quality, robustness, battery life and cost.
