Yeah, it would be weird. My friends all play guitar and they suck at Guitar Hero. Gamers play it better. Guitar players are tempted to play the chords and are so advanced that the simplistic approach sometimes messes them up.

Guitar Hero and its related cousins rely more on visual cues instead of actual groove/timing. That is why there is the strange paradox of non-musical individuals being able to play the games with ease, whilst true blue musicians seem to struggle, because what they hear/feel in the music doesn't correlate with the visual cues of the game. Same goes for drum-type games.

and the whole idea of getting a plastic fender strat copy to play a game when i have a real strat defies logic.

true. somewhere in my memory recollection remembers that Gilbert once said that Guitar Hero fools people to believe that they can play real guitar.. ish ish ish

At 1st mase game ni kuar, aku sendiri pun enjoy main, bole la hit note dia ngan timing yg ok, xdela pro sgt, i would say its a good idea utk tarik minat mereka yg xmain gitar utk gitaring , by means maybe after lepas main game ni depa akan gi beli gitar real and belajar main. Aku sendiri pun mmg gamers.
Its cool if they stay dgn format yg same, maksud disitu ialah format dia kekalkan game gitarhero/rockband ni as a game, dgn 5 button to hit, start button, select button and such...
But..but..but...latest aku check they sudah buat gitar yg lengkap with 6 strings , ade fret....follow note to hit kt screen, and with right timing. This one i strongly oppose. Looks like they are trying to guitar educate us. Kalu rasenye alasan is to create a learning platform, i find it bull because the only way to learn guitar is u pegang real guitar and u pick/strum note/chords. You kena rase 1st the pain of holding note with ur finger. Its not a learning plaform, bu its a gimmick to make more money, and also gimmick to cr8 delusional mind for gamers so they can say "hey, im not just a gamer, im also a guitarist. Dont believe me? i show u i can play steve vai for the love of god infront of u now" LOL
Mcm mane nak belajar chords/note/legato/theory dan pelbagai lagi gitar teknik dari game tuh? is it provided in the game?
