The world’s biggest live music challenge will have its grand finale in a musical festival of live original music to be held at KL Live on February 26, 2011 at 7PM.
GBOB 2010 World Finals has involved 12,000 musicians worldwide and will welcome world finalists from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, England, Germany, Indonesia, Jamaica, Malaysia, Moldova, Morocco, Norway, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Thailand and Ukraine.
Kuala Lumpur will be the hottest converging point for GBOB 2010’s world finalists from these 17 countries, as well as foreign dignitaries, music enthusiasts, local and foreign music journalists, an international lineup of judges, industry professionals and domestic and foreign tourists from all countries represented in GBOB from Asia, Africa, America, Australasia and Europe.
Celebrity judges, such as Kee Marcello, legendary guitarist of iconic rock group, Europe, will specially come over to KL for a special performance. One of Malaysia’s most popular bands, Hujan, will likewise make a guest appearance, as well as Rustic, GBOB 2009 reigning world champions from China.
Launched internationally in 2004, Malaysia has joined this annual competition for the fourth time (since 2007) and Malaysia’s bet, the Bombers from, Johor Bahru, will hopefully prove itself worthy of the US$100,000.00 band development package prize and worldwide promotion at stake for the World Champion to be recognised the “Best New Band in the World.”
Founded in the UK by GBOB Worldwide Ltd., its aim is to seek out and bring the best un-manufactured talent in the world to a global audience. It is the only worldwide music contest for bands playing their own material, meaning, no cover songs and no pre-recorded music. And it is the only one that is of a truly global magnitude – with up to more than 30 countries that had been involved to date, - open to all bands in all musical genres – whether young or not-so-young, professional or amateur, signed or unsigned by a recording label. _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |
