Soundscape Records and Cream Music present LYMBYC SYSTYM & CAROLINE Live in Kuala Lumpur, two mesmerizing and intimate experimental + electro-pop musical acts set to wow local music fans once again on 31 July 2011 at Black Box, MapKL @ Publika.

Hailing from Tempe, Arizona, brothers Jarel and Michael Bell makes the enigmatic, energetic duo Lymbyc Systym. An instrumental excitement that draws inspiration from indie/post-rock masters Tortoise, Explosions in the Sky and Four Tet. But there is no pigeonholing their exquisitely executed brand of intricate compositions, cleverly combining vintage keyboards, analog effects, dynamic drumming and laptop programming to create infectiously melodic tracks that blurs the boundaries of post-rock, indie-rock and electronica.

This shall be the brothers second visit to KL, following their immensely satisfying performance with Japan’s Lite at Bentley Auditorium 2 years ago.

Joining the brothers is the equally spell-bending Caroline Lufkin, who played an unforgettable sold-out show at KLPac’s Indicine in 2006; An exceptional electro-experimental musician who has kept both her independent spirit and delicate compositions in perfect synergy with her latest album, Verdugo Hills.

The album is not only a step up from her unique brand of minimalist, angelic electro-pop and but hones her musical experimentations and expressions to an art of combining distinct sounds, forming soulful symphonies that trails from the chilling to the warm.

Performing with Caroline is sister Olivia Lufkin, the well-known J-pop princess based in Tokyo, whose music has made her a household name in the ever-competitive Japanese music scene.

Supporting the two brothers and sisters mega-duo is the nascent local indie darling, Love/Comes, who shall be welcoming music fans to this intimate musical evening with their vein of 80s post punk and shoegazing.

Soundscape Records and Cream Music invite you to an evening of musical experimentations, soulful reflections, and moving sonic escapades.
