Quote: | . If we can share resource, then we can save cost, save time, save energy, etc and this allows the label to focus more on the product itself. For instance a label has a good distribution skill but no bands connection, another label may have a good connection with bands but lousy in distribution....if both of them work together they can do better in the market. |
bagus gak cadangan tuh.... |

The sharing resource thing...I met Ben (without his bitches) from Ben's Bitches last night. He also agreed about this concept. Since I am lack of knowledge to produce a compilation album and also lack of manpower, it's very likely that we will work together. Further discussion will continue. I have even mentioned Criedbaby's label to him. I think we can really work together to form a stronger ties in the scene. After all the scene is not that big in this country yet...we don't have big indie labels like Sub-Pop, 4AD, Flying Nun, etc yet (I don't consider Pony Canyon as our giant indie label lah...I consider them as more commercial instead of indie...though I think they play a great role in pushing the local scene) |

Ku modal tak ada...tapi I believe with some strategies and planning, things could be worked out. I will do it in a small scale and slowly expand. Just like what GrymLock said, I am going to focus on "network" first.
Criedbaby, I have an advice to share. I am not trying to criticise orang Melayu but I think a lot of them try to do business in a scale which is too big for them to handle as a starter. That's when they fail. Some non-Malays do the same mistake too.
Of course there are some that jumped into a big scale business and they have succeeded. These people have lots of money to spin but we don't have that sum of money.
Chinese is a bit "kiasu"/"kiasi" (scared of losing/scared of dying)...we tend to start up kecil macam ikan bilis dulu...sikit-sikit pun boleh jadi bukit. Macam the late Loh Boon Siew dulu....tapi dia terlalu kedekut... |

yeap! take Google.com as an example. Started up with only 2 pc but now Google and Internet almost cant be distinguished. It is now the fastest search engine with hybrid processing technology through hundreds server station around the world.

Thanks for the support, Izuan. I have started working on this and there's no way for me to quit now - I don't want to disappoint those who has been giving me the moral support, technical support, advice etc...including some indie labels I have discussed this matter with....my hands are too dirty to quit now... |

I'm not quiting. So far I have enjoyed what I am doing. I am sure criedbaby will take over my task if I quit...hahaha
My daily job and time are the factors slowing things down. I have been told that I need to come back to the office during this weekend and work on Friday night (instead of working during daytime) |
