All the parts, including vocals, are one takes which should account for the substandard performance.

I think the fact that all the parts were done in one take makes this song cool. Very 'live' sounding and honest.
I may have missed this before, but your blues guitar playing is impressive....you sound more comfortable and natural churning out blues solos dude. Looking forward for more extended blues offerings!
Me likey! Smile

Doing the blues is always a gamble. You're never sure if it's going to come out right... Unless you've been blessed by the ghost of Robert Johnson!

That's why I decided to go the single-take route on this, swearing to scrap the whole thing if I don't get the parts right the first time.

You're also right about my being more comfortable with the blues as I've been fooling around with the "birus" for more than 25 years, though I've never really done the music much justice.

As for blues solos, I'm beginning to realise more and more that what really matters is NOT the notes you play but the pauses in between. That's kind of an anti-shred thing, ain't it?

Anyway, as I get older (that sounds like an oxymoron!), I'm discovering a deeper connection with the blues. Hopefully, the Devil Twisted Evil will help me get where I want to go at this stage! Cool
