Hehe thanks for the comments Ridzi. Those clips were recorded quite a while back (zaman batu .. lol) and I've yet to come up with anything modern.
BTW, I'm a huge Meshuggah/Soilwork fan too actually .. |

Your stuff sounds like it could have easily come from the 'Shrapnel Records' stable . Nice shredding tunes. You need to work on getting better drums and guitar sounds though. What guitar do you use and what's the signal chain like?
Oh yes...you asked me what keeps the passion going for me? Ok...when you look at this pics and listen to what they play...if you don't feel the adrenalin rush, you must be dead! These are the people that kept me going...
George Lynch
Here's a tip...do NOT f**k around with these guys...
Steve in 1987
Very early Yngwie shot...before he got...err...fat!!!
...the guy who dictated rock guitar in the 80's...nuff said...
..I remember sitting down wearing out the tape machine trying to transcribe the solo in 'Jump'
...this explains why, in Malaysia, these genre of music is called 'Rock Kangkang'...
Gary Moore...mah textbook...
Michael Landau...probably one of the most recorded session guitar players...
Steve Lukather...another sessioneer whose album credits goes forever...
In the olden days, when you mention that you're a rock guitarist, people get scared shit of you and lock up their daughters...

Yeah, the quality is pretty bad since I'm a relative newbie when it comes to home recording. The tunes were recorded using an old cheapo Yamaha YG guitar and lined out direct from my pedal and amp.

Whoa great pics indeed. Are those guys your major influences ?

Well, I don't think people put down on those great guitarists. Its more of an ignorance thing, and the lack of respect for their great guitar talents. Its especially common nowadays with all the young folks getting brainwashed by MTV. Sigh, if only they'd bring on Headbangers Ball on Astro .. |

Hehe, so are you planning on getting a 7-string ? How bout a UV777 or something ?
I thought the 'monkey grip' gave the Jem a very unique look. Never thought it looked silly or anything .. just .. different .. |

I think they are overpriced more than anything. I'm actually contented with any of the lower end 7 string models (RG1527 etc).
Come to think of it, I'll be super happy if I can get my hands on any 7 string guitar. |

aaa..if you were in i-bands earlier, my mate riki_rahman was trying to sell his rg7620 (the one with dimarzios unlike the 7420) for rm1500, with an original ibanez hardcase. it was pretty difficult to find buyers and he had to let it go for a cheaper price at a shop in ampang. bet you they are hiking its price now for a profit. |
