Foo Fighters - In Your Honor
Cool double discs, The first disc contains your standard Foo Fighters fare, but the second disc kicked my ass to the next thursday. It contains all acoustic songs. The best disc I heard in ages. Standout tracks, "Still", and "Virginia Moon" (Duet with Norah Jones).
Anthrax - The Greater of Two Evils
This album contains John Bush renditions of Classic Belladona/Turbin era songs. Lemme tell you, Scott Ian did a huge mistake by letting John Bush go. Personally, I think John Bush is the voice of Anthrax much more than Belladonna ever will be. The songs sound fresh. Stand out tracks are Keep it In The Family, Metal Thrashing Mad, Belly of The Beast and Among the Living _________________ Can you feel the groove? |

hmmm... nope.... i don't think it that way.... belladona is anthrax trademark.... people always want the original one..... maybe ur rite if u say john bush is better than belladona... that ur opinion... but even belladona sucks... their fan want him..... cause he's the first one.... me myself thinking ronnie james dio vocals is better than ozzy.. but we know black sabbath is ozzy.... same with some local bands... wings = awie not mus even mus is the best... n may = mus, n i think xpdc is going down cause of ali ... people still want mael... even mael once sucks.... their fan still want him.... _________________ b like what u want to b |

Ozzy is overated, Sabbath was the best during the Dio era. Make no mistake, I am an Ozzy fan, but try and get Ozzy to sing one of Dio era songs. He couldn't sing to save his life. Even Gezzer Butler complained that Ozzy refuses to do something more challenging on the Sabbath Ozzfest setlist.
Anyway, I think Anthrax was more succesfull during the Bush era. Sound of White Noise anyone... That album is probably The Black album of Anthrax. Besides, i think most of the fans still prefer Bush to Belladonna. Proof? There was a huge outrage on the internet when the reunion did not include John Bush. They say Scott Ian and Charlie Benante sold out!!!
By the way Iron Maiden first singer was Paul Di'Anno. _________________ Can you feel the groove? |

Yeah man...I only listen to Sabbath during the Ronnie Dio era....'Heaven and Hell'...'Children of the Sea'...'Mob Rules' are some of the many timeless classics.( 'Live Evil' is definitely one of my most treasured albums. Tony Iommi's HUGE guitar sound sounds like judgement day...and it was louder than anything else, drowning everything!).
Of course I'm an Ozzy fanatic, but I prefer Ozzy when he went solo rather than when he was with Sabbath.Especially tha Rhoads/Jake E. Lee years.
I prefer Deep Purple during the Coverdale years(coz I'm a huge fan of Coverdale). The only Ian Gillan Purple album I like was the much later 'Perfect Strangers'...and not during earlier Deep Purple's golden years with Gillan I'm afraid.
And...I dunno..DLR is no match for Sammy Hagar when it comes to vocal prowess, but there's something about DLR which makes me prefer to listen to VH with DLR rather than with Sammy....but of course, I bought all their albums still (except VH III).
Frankly, do you think there's still a market for this kind of music above? If there is, I wanna make an album in that vein...to revisit mah rooooots...
But how the hell do I find a singer in that vein?
I've heard of 2 guys that impress me in Malaysia, but both of them has got commitments....dang! |

1 of the Great Four, how can u ever forget them
btw, Blaze Bayley was the third singer for Iron Maiden, though i prefered him in his old band Wolfsbane. |
