He doesnt shred all the time like malmsteen but he can shred... plays with his own bands. is one of fender endorsee and has performed guitar clinic around the world.

hehe..thats why i didn't wanna go to marty friedman's clinic..
i was pretty sure it was a stage wanking session 
so far i regreted for not going for andy timmons..

I thought Marty Friedman would shred like anything....has he given up shredding ah? |

lolz..nolar..the truth is friedman can't shred,he is no shredder
no doubt he wrote great solos from megadeth..
the thing is this world is seeing marty as a "shredder" just because he started cacophony ..
last time i used to think friedman was one of the ultimate shredder too
until i tried some cacophony songs..
i realize friedman is doing the chords and the slow melody
where as the sweeps,legatos,alternate picking ..all the hard parts are done by becker..
in his clinic he even admit he is not that good in alternate picking and sweeping too
well all this is my assumption

I dont agree if u said he can't shred but i agree i u said he can't shred as good as becker. Beckers arpegeos was like hell! But marty got attitude too. If you listen somebody playing an exotic japanese style solo, who do you think that style is belong to?

correction, marty can do alternate picking very well, but definitely not good at sweep picking and tapping! he said it doesn't look cool while you're doing that finger tapping on stage! hahaha...
