hello guys, aku nak tanya sapa2 ada experience guna CPU yang tertera di topik untuk audio,graphic,video editing ok ke? lagi, kena guna windows XP 64bit je ke baru leh run? lagi soklan :
1. program 32bit bleh run x?
2. stable x?
3. temperature dia ok x?

to each of ur question:
1. Ya. Boleh. No problem, boleh work in both 32 and 64bit environment. (unlike Intel Itanium which only runs in 64 bit environments)
2. yup. stable..tapi kene tengok RAM. Ada list RAM yg compatible in AMD website.Then again kene tengok hardware ko lain gak (mobo, gcard, dll) not to mention windowsXP is still pretty buggy.
3. yes. lower than pentiums IVs .. (30 to 50 watt range banding ngan 90++watt Prescott chips)
aku pakai amd64 tapi bukan FX..FX mahal laa..lagi pun dia pakai ECC Ram ..bukan standard DDR ram. Obviously, AMD has been getting a bad press mostly through aggressive marketing by Intel ..by the question youve asked dah nampak ketara how well theyve ingrained into ppls mind as to how their products are supposedly so much more superior than their rivals, though the truth seems as in many instances...much more inferior.

ooh. FX 51 kuat punye chip tu...bende ni semua dah running ke? orang jual dekat ko ke?
kalau bende ni semua dah running, dah kire power dah tu specs tu. Gcard tu tu pun bleh tahan tu...main game bess tu, stock halflife 2 bleh letak 1600 x 1400 with full settings at 100++ fps. ATI graphic cards ni memang laju, tapi kalau banding Nvidia, ATI has some bugs kalau running some rendering software...nothing all that critical la..but i recommend nvidia kalau kau nak gune graphic card ni for workstation purpose la.

hmmmm..for 6000 aku pikir dua kali laa..get it down to 4000 maybe ok kot. One thing the 940 processors tu dah obsolete..AMD semua dah pegi 939 slot and graphic card pun dah PCI Express..yang dia bagi tu AGP , which is also becoming obsolete. If u have 6000 to spend on a computer, aku cadang ko beli AMD 64 with a 939 slot, where u have the option for future upgrades, not to mention the 939 slots bleh letak multiple CPU at a cheaper price than the FX series. And if u doing rendring works (3D applications or any graphic intensive programs), 939 slot mobos offer the option of using dual graphic cards to work in tandem , which the 940 slot do not offer (and which Intel has propsed to do, but has yet to offer too  ).
Bende dia jual tu memang 6000 actually kene la kalau kite tengok dari time dia beli tu bende tu laa, memang banyak ah dia kelaur nak dapat that sort of specs..tapi skang dah banyak bende baru keluar, and aku rasa at this point in time, that price dah bleh dapat brand new computer at lebih kurang same specs, maybe even better. Aku rasa dia nak dapat balik investment dia tu...tapi susah la..dia kene rugi juga macamanapun. The bottom line is, he's selling off obsolete, or soon to be obsolete hardware. |

jeff, gcard dia kasik Pci-e, dia kasik full spec la.. skali hdd,dvdrw,heatsink,etc..
aku carik kat lowyat.net harga fx51 takde pun.. dia beli cpu saja RM3000++ , gcard lagi.. kat RM2000++ .. aku try mintak rm5000 ok kot?

aaah..aku dah check mobo ko cakap tu. My mistake, i didnt realize that FX 51 which were originally of the 940 slot had a 939 slot counterpart produced. I thought only FX 53s and above had migrated to 939, obviously aku silap sane..forgive me . Kalau cam tu, kire ok la harga tu.. siap DDR 2 lagi tu...uish...
one more thing. Ko check which model Fatality mobo dia bagi? Ade 2 jenis tu...does it have SLI? the SLI feature allows dual graphic card feature. Maybe tak pakai skang kot, tapi besok luse mane la tahu..
Omar: tak laa, my work isnt IT related. Computers are jsut one of those things taht i wasted so much money on in the past, based on misinformation and lack of it, that i got tired of it and did my own research to find out myself. I jsut hated it so much when i remember berapa kali aku kene tipu dekat kedai computer dulu.. 
I just remembered this one time when i was buying my AMD 64 a few years back. I went to this shop asking for it and you know the shop told me? After he tried convincing me to buy a Pentium 4, he atlast said "you want to find AMD ah? You go junk shop la..we dont sell that here"

| aku pakai AMD 64 3200++ ngan 754 slot. First gen ah ni.. running at 2.2 Ghz and only using a single memory channel, it kicks the shit outta Pentiums with dual memory channels within its range(3-3.2 ghz) in most applications. Been using it close to 2 years i think..and still havent felt the need to upgrade. |
