Till January 31, 2006. Older uploads, including the ones posted as examples in the announcement, don't count. We feel you should do some new songs as, chances are, you're way better now than you uploaded your last acoustic song.
Anyway, the whole idea for this exercise is to get more people to strip their sound down and bare their souls in radical and refreshing ways.
And please take this in the spirit of a true challenge. Don't cheat! You can ask friends, fans and folks at other forums to check out the songs but don't play and download on your PC to boost the counter! By doing so, you would not only be cheating yourself, but also the artist in you!

Yes, you can enter more than one acoustic-oriented song for the "challenge", but they have to be new songs. And only one song by each artist will qualify for the prizes.
The whole idea behind this exercise -- for those still unclear on the message -- is to motivate YOU to come up with new acoustic stuff, preferably with vocals.

thks for the explanation synthdude. 
hope its fine to do seperate postings for the uploaded tracks instead of one posting with all the tracks.
synthdude..u quoted earlier that it is ok to use loops , drum sounds , auto bass etc..umm..does dat mean as long as the track has a distinct acoustic sound but maybe accompanied with a lesser degree of electric sounds , thats OK ?

ok.. one quick question... so.. drums are allowed.. wut bout if theres ermm piano.. and violins and celloz? would that be accepted? .. i have one.. and its a bit like goo goo dolls...

Hey people, stop lazing around and pick up your acoustic and pound on it until it yields a tune or two! Add some vox if you can. Then upload the recording(s) at i-bands and post your link(s) here.
Like we mentioned before, we've got lotsa great CD titles (all originals... some are imports or special editions) and possibly strings and things to give away to those whose songs are downloaded the most.
The counter will start ticking from Nov. 1, 2005 and stop on Jan. 31, 2006, so hurry, scurry... make some acoustic curry!  |
