well that's definitely gonna offend the guys behind jamtank. If I put up a topic there.. it'll be something like a spam.
Word of mouth is always the best. sometimes it works in the slowest way possible...but it works.
or... i can sell cheap i-bands t-shirt, just simple one.. and we can all wear it proud & and the same time... a walking ad!

allrite.. promotion.. macam yang ada gua post kat topic lain.. promosi mulut ke mulut.. dari kawan ke kawan adalah promosi yang paling berkesan... selain masuk zine etc...
nak best lagi.. kekekeke.. buat la i-bands music festival.. buat seminggu... bagi sumer band yang ada dalam i-bands perform.. hehehee.. tapi kena sponser besar la.. kekekek.. maybe bleh minta kat kementerian kebudayaan dan pelancongan.. contoh macam festival music tahun 2002 yang buat kat sunway pyramid tu (tak ingat festival aper ntah)..
just idea je.. kalau tak best.. tak yah la ikut.. hehehehhe

It's cool! I will try to use word of mouth reputation to spread about i-bands amongst professional musicians/sessionists...dunno how that would help but at least that will bring us to the attention of 'signed up' people. Lots of signed musicians are not 100% happy by the restrictions imposed by record companies and are interested to start from scratch going independently for their 'off mainstream' music which will probably not be accepted by record companies.
Maybe I can get somebody in the music business to write something about the ins and outs of the music business as well for our info... |

Hehehe teringat pulak aku lagu 'Ass to Mouth Ressucitation'  But yes...word of mouth is the best way of promoting. I would piut the posters in thos independent music shops. The Little shops...Extreme at Sg Wang would be a good place too
I used to go out my the rest of my band posting posters on the walls around Oxford...got ourselves into trouble at one point....but thats rock and roll isn't it!!....you have to get arrested atleast once for something like that.....but its well worth it...nothing beats playing to a full house!!
