Hi guys,
I just got a podxt live recently and i want to increase the Q range of the wah. Anyone knows how? When i push the pedal all the way down (toe side), it only goes to maximum 59% (according to the Guitar Port programe). How do i get the higher frequencies? (100%).
Thank a million in advance. |

^oi..i used to own 1 ok? yea but you are right..he is the only guy currently
strinq ..this is my opinion..why u wanna use a wah?
i think making it a volume pedal is alot more useful especially performing live..
unless u wanna cover your sloppyness _________________ gapnap.com

yeah thats your opinion gapster..but to me, i use wah to boost my solo expression.. as you know, satriani, vai, jimi hendrix also use wah..unless you dont know how to use it, you'll use it to cover your sloppyness...hehe.. _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |

haha, yeah
my dream come true!!!
but i got it second hand and much cheaper (haha, i cant afford a new one, to get this i traded and sold off all my pedals)
deadzid, haha, i'm not the only one here who has a podxt Live, there r others too
gapster, y i use the wah?
erm, to cover my sloppiness? nolah, because its a nice effect??
but still a bad wah user, plan to improve on it
(but i am still quite a sloppy player lah, i'll admit that)

hahaha
yea man..but the world has sort of "stereotype" all the wah users to cover sloppyness
thanks to mr kirk hammet..
you often hear stuffs such as "why kirk hammet uses a wah"
"because his is sloppy,so is other guitarist who uses 1 "
lolz ...shi*t goes around in this planet ..
anyway wah isn't really my thing..i am just clean - distortion 2 channels only i like to express by the choice of notes
strinq you got it from lanquik? _________________ gapnap.com

I think you have to initialize the pedal when you first buy it....use the PODxt (not Live) with floorboard, and remember I had to initialize the floorboard first...otherwise it doesn't know the sweep range.
using the wah well is a GREAT tool to embellish a song, it's a real skill...you got to rock the wah to a certain groove and as you play a lick you got to exactly match certain finger expressions with the wah expression, sort of like you're "dancing" on the wah to the music you're fingers are creating. Not fair to use Kirk H as an example, he's not even a good wah player! .....as an idea, listen to a blues harp player, the way he bends the harp notes is sort of the way a wah can bend in a solo.....
what amp do you use with the xt? assuming the XT live has the same tones as the PODxt (it's got the same processor, same everything so it should be the same), you'll probably find it sounds lousy with most guitar amps! Only running it into a full-range PA or a PA-style keyboard amp seems to give the PODxt a proper sound. I use a Behringer keyboard PA amp now and the sound is good/great..... tried all sorts of amps and powered monitors and they all make the XT sound like shit. [great reviews about the Atomic amp in all POD forums, but sadly it's not available here even though I wrote to their President (not idiot BUsh, but the Atomic president!) but it turns out too much hassle to import on my own....anyone in M'sia got Atomic amps?.
but nowadays i'm getting itchy for the sound of burning valves again.....anyone know what a new Marshall TSL head with cabinet costs in M'sia? credit card will melt?
cheers,

aisey. you just missed the boat by... err... a few months. rikirahman here sold off his TSL100 head recently. but then he is selling his 1970s marshall JMP 100w head. go to the iklaneka area!
valve amps in malaysia have ridiculous prices lah. a head and a 4x12 can set you back RM10k easily last time i checked at SLC in damansara utama. i don't know if it's the tax or the shops marking the price up.
eh, i thought you are a bluesman. why the TSL? _________________ "my small self...like a book amongst the many on a shelf.."

Blues is in the heart, can play the blues with ANY amp, heck I even used to play the blues without an amp (direct to PA) in a band that used sequencers, sexy girl singers and played Britney Spears and chinese cha-cha songs and then I'd play Dire Straits' "Romeo and Juliet" and some Gatemouth stuff..... hahahahhaa the things a guy does.......
but seriously, TSL = 3 channels of pure valve sound, reviews of the amp are great, and I've always loved the Marshall sound. Besides, I miss playing the chinese cha-cha songs sometimes..... Thinking of the 60-watt head now, perhaps the 100watt head is just too loud? |

yeah, it doesnt really sound great on my amp (but still sounds pretty good)
with my headphones it sounds much better
i think the best outs for this unit is PA speakers (like raggy said) or simply a poweramp so that there's no tonal colouration watsoever |
