silbi, i think anybody can do as long as he know to use multimeter. Using multimeter will help u to find which part or companent is malfunction. Then you can just pullout the thing and replace with new one.

but if you manage to build the new wah circuit to suit in your old wah box, here you should go:
http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=59

DONT SEND TO BENTLEY.! .hehehe...

bro

thanks. yupp...will not send send to bentley...hehe..

actually, i wish i cud just do it by myself but unfortunately i have zero knowledge in this electronic circuitry...cud try to learn but i think i might end up burning or damaging something...

i dont really care about the 'sound' of it after the repair / mod...just want it to work like a regular wah...so if ppl wanna put totally different cheap components inside pun tak kisah coz wudnt know...

hey, if ur in kl, and hv the time and energy, mind looking into the thing for me?...gue belanja lu buka pose ler...

u think can a regular electronic repair shop do the shop?

or anybody else wanna take this 'challenge'?

kalau takde...i might just save some dough and wait for that new cheap wah from behringer...

i'm in JB ler.. i think guy from electronic repair shop can do it..
i also have zero knowledge in electronic. Just try and error and now i think i've got some lesson. Internet helps me a lot..

so far i've mod my cry baby wah, Marshall Jackhammer(failed project), and TS9..

if you want to do it yourself, make sure ada guide and tutorial la dari internet. Kalau takda guide, nanti jadi la mcm jackhammer aku tu.. dah terkorban.. tp semua tu undoable selagi PC bord tu tak patah..

jgn ckp mcm tu geng, kitorang pun baru je baca kat internet.. bukan tau pae pun.. tapi bagus ko tanya, so boleh la share..

anyway bypass merujuk kepada pedal yang tak aktif(off mode)..

contohnya ko main kat bilik guna chain mcm ni:

guitar ->> BOSS Distortion-->amp/pc

bila distortion tu tak aktif/off, so dia dlm keadaan bypass la.

yang menjadi problem pada pedal selalunya, bila dlm keadaan bypass, tapi signal guitar still lalu pada electrical komponen2 dlm pedal tu menyebabkan sound guitar berubah sikit.

So untuk selesaikannya, wujud la istilah "True Bypass".

for DPDT, we need to add a circuit to make a status LED light up when we engage the effect and off when we bypass it.

For 3PDT, no circuit addition needed. Just wire the LED to it and add a +9V supply everything is done. For details, check out the Tonepad.com for the wiring diagram.

cayolah geng...nantilah aku nak try main benda2 ni pulak...will start with those tiny hobbyist electronic kit first...aku solder pun hampeh..tu yg takut tu...but that true bpass project sounds nice...

aku la ni dah include my zoom 70711 into my analog stompbox chain...the bypass sound sucks! so maybe will have to find a way to get into true bypass zone soon...

btw - anyone who has tried the behringer wah, do give us a review. how much is it anyway? rm150 can get ah?

also - i've contacted wui...so hopefully he cud bring my dead wah back to life soon...aha. wui, true bypass sure u can do rite? cool...
