The last time i ever actually watched a movie was a long time ago, with my ex. stupid asshole from Beat the system.
so that would be somewer in June. after that, until now, i have never watched any movies at all. I have never watched Van Helsing and Spiderman. u name it. or even Madagascar.
Oh one more thing, I have never watched School Of Rock, Moulin ROuge and even Titanic, Harry Potter.
i am not kidding. what to do, no dates to take me out. =p _________________ "Thus let my enemy's blood be spilled

No dates....watch Astro lah...all these are old movies - they have already been shown in Astro over and over again.
Seriously, you don't need a date to watch movies with lah unless both of you are bored of each other and have communication breakdown....you should take your date for a lunch, dinner, strolling along the beach, raba-raba behind bushes in the park lah....hahaha |

Had an underground DVD weekend.
Down By Law - A Jim Jarmuosh film with Tom Waits. Music by Waits.
Eraserhead - David Lynch
Lou Reed: Rock & Roll Heart - Documentary about the one of the precursors to today's punk and alternative music.
Wanted to catch The Proposition, a movie written and scored by Nick Cave but didn't get the chance. |

international film favourites:
brotherhood of the wolf - gosh - excellent storytelling man! victorian kung fu! who could have thought of that?
malena...I wish i was that little boy...hehe...(or anything with monica belluci actually - she's divine! period!)
bully - sick stupid teens
city of god - more sick stupic teens
and for some weird reason, i really dig resident evil 2 - mainly becoz of that chick cop....haha...
indon flicks:
janji joni - in love with mariana renata forever
man! heard she's now slowly overthroning dian in indon...
AADC - yupp..me being old but digging this when i first came out...oh dian...hehe
tentang dia - a dark drama about losing love and stuff...the indie style coloured the film nicely, and there's Melly doing the superb soundtrack...she's punk and dark, and all of it...a genius indeed!
malaysian indie-ish ones -
1. lips to lips - funny avant garde material sadly it didnt go to either reel or vcd coz no moneylah
2. gedebe - political struggle portrayed via the skindhead community - but the theatre version is much better i guess
3. the big durian - about kl during private adam riot time - a bit of history there
4. salon - teen urban love with mix race casts - something a lot different for the masses
5. sepet - i really wanna like this but since i only saw it on vcd, i cudnt dig it that much...but thumbs up to yasmin for her bold move
6. PGL - quite epical- great effort there...we're on the right track on producing epics now i think... |
