have you tested the 3PDT switch, does it work? try making a simple looper to test wheter the signal flows correctly and it switches accordingly...
by the way, what kind of efx pedal are you building? seems cool! maybe izuanhafez can help you out with this situation...

i agree with deadzid.. make sure your switch is working first. For bypassing the board, make sure your middle connection of your switch goes to the TIP lugs in your jack port. Sometime people may confused between TIP lug and Sleeve lug. Good luck!

im building a distortion effect, i never check the switch though (bcos i
dunno how to check it)  , i'll try to do some more experiments on the
switch 1st but im having exams this week
and this kind of work is really tedious [need to spend a lot of time on it !!]
 , so , i think im gonna reply after sometimes.
check the switch 1st right. okok 
1 more thing, the circuit was built for battery use only without adapter(DC
jack) |

alright, exam's over.. deadzid, izuan.... how to test the switch ?? actually,
i don't actually know how to wire the switch in. i mean dunno how to add
the 3pdt switch in la...

should i try the circuit above ??, it's different from the previous one,
haihh.. well, u know, im kinda new at this...hahah
by the way, the distortion sound soooo not nice, , maybe i should try the tube screamer next time  |

actually, both diagrams by aron nelson and guitar gadgets are almost the same, except that the row for led/battery is place in different position. if you follow the diagram correctly, you should have no problem.
to test the 3PDT switch, try hooking up the switch this way:
red = grounding
blue = main signal
purple = loop
you don't have to solder em, just "tie" the wires to the lugs neatly... then connect your guitar, amp, stompbox, and test the switch on/off. hope that helps!
p/s: the purple wires from "send" to stompbox and from stompbox to "return" jacks are actually cables, not wires - sorry!
