About year ago I was looking for a site offering free MP3 hosting to upload my home-recorded stuff. Finding one that didn't have some kind of dodgy sign-up interface or silly restrictions was tough at first.
Finally, after Googling various terms starting with "indie" and "independent", I found i-bands.net. Within half an hour, I had signed up, created my page and uploaded two songs.
It's been a pretty swell deal since then!

from malscene kot he he..or was it from asha gill's website...she had this song recommendation of a local band called couple at that time and it was hosted on ibands..kinda forgot..i kinda knew mr g at that time from the malscene chatting days..

Well i found I-bands thru sam aka liquidjive, who suddenly send me an email and ask me to listen to call the paramedics on I-bands.
There i just signed up but left it there floating, until i met Ridzi from Jamtank.
Then after Meeting Ridzi and Omar, they told me about the forum.
From that day onwards, my bisingness reign of fire starts.

I cant remember how I stumbled upon Mr. G online...but he told me to check it out...and then it started with an upload...and lotsa spamming...  |

i met Mr.G before i knew about I-bands through Sam.
Call the paramedics had the jamming session with 360 Head Rotation. just shake hands and said Hi.
and then lupa, sebab that time malam, so tak berapa nampak Mr.G
Plus kat startbucks sam was promoting I-bands like mad to me, macam nak jual forum tu kat I.
Pastu bribe aku dengan Ice blended mocha kat situ.
join i-bands? why not. hehhehe

I think it was from jeff ooi's blog about the different interpretations of the song negaraku - which inadvertently led me into this site...
and here i am talking nonsense all the time...haha...So for those who ever got offended by my post, etc...maaf zahir batin
but seriously, the regulars here are a bunch of great ppl...salute!
Actually, tried to follow jamtank too but i found sometime there's too much nonsense and politics from some of those stupid young kids there. So i think i'll get back there when the kids there are a bit more mature! hehe...hmm...And probaby at that time, i' might probably be in my 40s already. oh well! |

a housmate of mine was on Myspace looking for some good music and stumbled upon 'VIRUS SOUND' and we were surprised that it was local talent. I listened to them and subsequently added them to my friends list...told them they were cool and 'deadzid' replied kindly in turn of my own brand of music, and promoted the i-bands site. So I took a look but I couldnt join at first, (the band registration was fooked) so i forgot about it and took me a month before i remembered and came back to try to register again, and this time it went nicely.

cool thread synthdude!
memang sentimental bila baca orang lain punya cita.
can say, i was only active when Ridzi, Omar and Ery rescued a piranha from Jamtank.
and turn the piranha into a guppy.... thanks to those who have been there for me, through Pms and joy.
But sometimes i do miss jamtank, but then again, i was forced to grow up in I-bands.
Now i feel so old........... sigh....
