silbi...
Hehe, ko buat freelance gak ke?
Fuh, yg Sunday Nite Live tu best gak dulu, tp aku x pegi sgt la, psal byk pop acts yg perform...mesti dpt masuk free, hehe...
Yup, rase mcm tu gak la biler kuar mag tu, but i felt a bit weird la sometimes...ye lah, reading ur own writing, on top of that, dah la Rottw & GB tu coverage dia nation wide, rase a bit embarrassed pon ade gak, hehe...
Speaking of The Star, there was a while ago that Sujesh was looking for writers. I wanted to send in some of my work, but dia nak bassist je, guitarist dah ramai sgt... Alda (Dragon Red, Cosmic Funk) actually wrote in a few reviews. How i wish i played a little bit of bass...
Citt...Import Tuner lg byk chicks! Lg exotic dr jap girls. But all those jap mags, mcm Option, i just browse through la, looking at cars je. Kalo Import Tuner tu for sure lg best la...hehe...
Cheers... |

Its kinda cool actually...imagine, u go to Bentley, & u have the power to try out anything u want, & no pesky salesperson can say anything to u. They cant tell u to hurry up, or ask u whether u're going to buy that or not...for as long as u're there, u're invincible, hehe |
you were at G&B? my brother was there too, for a short while. he was assistant editor. he got to speak to joe satriani, do PROPER guitar tabs and, like you, test out gear at bentley and CK. i used to write gig reviews for ROTTW now and then as well. they give me a copy of the issue for my troubles. _________________ "my small self...like a book amongst the many on a shelf.."

I do most most the gear reviews la, album reviews for both mags & some interviews la. A lot of work, but its cool...

no lah. i wasn't exactly 'working for' ROM. i send in reviews of gigs now and then. that's it. credited as 'penulis luar' only. hehe
my brother was working for G&B when it first started. his name is trabye (he is a vai fan but he is not in sarawak!)and he now does music production fulltime. he used to do A&R at EMI malaysia. _________________ "my small self...like a book amongst the many on a shelf.."

trabye main bass balik dgn metalasia (for fun) at a gig in singapore (rozhan kat berklee at the mo').
go here for more pics. walaupun rambut sudah pendek boleh lagi rock.
dia skrg alhamdulillah sibuk la with jobs. he also plays with man kidal (on keyboard and 3rd guitar - kinda like mcalpine's job in vai's band!).
silbi: you know my brother and halim? halim kenal kat sheffield ke by any chance (97-9 ke? he has a cousin from ipoh, the name of whom i cannot remember, who studied there.
deadzid: in fact, kan. muka ko dgn cousin aku ada la iras2 sikit. sipi. sipi. hahahaha. _________________ "my small self...like a book amongst the many on a shelf.."

trabye's back for fun with metalasia? cool man! we're not worthy3x....hehe...
Hmm...i thought i saw him (or a lookalike probably?) wanting to do sound check for man kidal's band masa gig Kreator kat sini hari tu (they were supposed to open the gig)...but the weird part was that, all didnt play...it was Kreator alone...but still, Kreator brought the house down man! with or without any opening acts...Impossible Brutality! haha...
**you guys shud check out Kreator's latest - enemy of god -guitar works more melodic now - macam iron maiden pun ada...***
Halim i know same batch as me masa kat UK dulu. But i only met him here a few years ago - time tu he was actively jamming with trabye and a fren of mine who played bass...so aku pi sebok2 je lah tgk depa jem sekali dua kat Bandar Sri Damansara...but than they went hiatus and now they're kinda 'gone'...(typical tale of rok band yang hampir berjaya!)
your cousin ni a few months ago try apply masuk tempat kerja aku...dunno how he fared...sonyap jo.
anyways, so trabye ni your abang or adik??
(btw - kalau sesiapa tahu bila Metalasia perform lagi, tolong ler kasi update kat sini...lama siot tak layan Silantra live...punyelah fan dulu, at one point i think i could basically hum all the guitar solos in that album by heart...yes...hum...not play...hehehe...tapi kalau dapat main lagu depa, aku boleh kira master siot...appregios appregios...pergh!)
eh...wuts the topic for this thread again? aku ni suke betul sesat jalan... |
