...Big Deal...kenangan manis....*sniff sniff*....Maybe half of my gear aku beli kat situ...

...aku ingat dulu...aku nyaris beli Laney 100W valve head dengan 4x12 cab...lepas tu member aku kata, "Ko giler ker Bode? Kalau ko beli tu ko nak letak mana? Lepas tu camna nak angkat balik? Ingat aku nak tolong ker? Ko angkat sendiri la!!!"

Tapi kalau aku beli tu sure kalau ajak orang jam...org tak berani punyer!!! Kuat nak MAMPHOS! heh heh heh....Cis...penyesalan...

To me,good tone is still a good tone[/b].Yes i knoe...digital kekadang bunyi macam tahi.....but analog can also be too boring and traditional at times.

So,i guess, the point I'm trying to make is,I like BOTH digital and analog.....and I have nuthing to fear about new technologies and ideas.

-just stating my mind-

p/s:Im in no way trying to trash analog tools.....because i knoe preferences are totally justified. Wink

Aku sokong tu...aku punyer Peavey Profex II pre-amp uses digital distortion. One day aku nak upgrade too the tube version of the same pre-amp...tapi bila banding kat kedai, the digital distortion sounds bigger and warmer pulak...kelakar betul...so sampai sekarang aku dok pakai pre-amp tu...versatile nak mampus...and we live happily ever after... Very Happy

Aku pun nak join sama la discussion korang pasal Stompbox ni heheheh

Aku takdelah skill sangat lah, but my preference is for analog distortion instead of digital distortion. 2 years ago I had to decide between a Boss DS-1 (dah hilang, sedihhhh) and Korg 104ds Hyper Distortion (digital distortion lah ni kan), bunyi Korg tu kureng sikit lah, but I guess kalau on recording most people tak bothered lah, but I prefer Analog distortion.

Now on my fuzzboxes:

At the moment, bila aku jamming kat umah la (aku Bassist most of the time) aku pakai mostly 3 types of overdrive/distortion

1. Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer (80's baikk punya, dah kena lanyak, yang paling best, an officemate gave it to me FREE!!!!)
2. Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi NYC Reissue (Jack WHite wannabe/ Black Sabbath sounds - kalau main riff Iron man memang lazattttt)
3. Marshall Jackhammer (can get that Marshall crunch sounds yang baikkkkkkkk, good for palm muting, ni dapat FREE jugak)

and aku ada, but not being used

4. Boss OS-2 Overdrive/Distortion - it's a nice pedal, quite Bright, sesuai untuk Punky and Power Pop-y sounds) - HANTAR REPAIR, footswitch masalah, ni aku beli masa kat UK dulu at Colchester, aku rasa aku beli kat Axe Music kut
5. ASAMA Engineering distortion - Unknown Japanese distortion, but I think it's based on MXR DIstortion kut pasal dia ada 2 control knobs je. Currently being loaned and used by my guitarist/vocalist

AKu put TS-9 as the first pedal in the chain lepas guitar and before Big Muff & Jackhammer pasal, I used it as boost during solos, sustain dia, tone dia, lazat man, damn lazat you know
