Aku dan beberapa peguam yang lain memang sedang dalam persiapan untuk menyaman polis berhubung dengan insiden di paul's place. Kami ingin mendapatkan sebanyak mungkin nama dan contact individu-individu terlibat. As you probably aware, lawyer Amer Hamzah and a group of other lawyers will be filing a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against the authorities for their actions during NYEve raid.
FAQ:
What's a lawsuit? An action or a suit brought before a court, as to recover a right or redress a grievance.
What's a class action lawsuit: A lawsuit filed by one or more persons on behalf of a group of individuals all having the same grievance.
Why would I want to do this? To exercise your rights as a Malaysian citizen and send a message to the authorities that you, the youth of this country, are intelligent, cognizent and will not be harrassed. We want to ensure this doesn't happen again to you or anyone else. Without gigs, the independant music scene will cease to exist.
Who should do this?
1) Anyone who believes they were wrongfully detained.
2) Anyone who hasn't had charges filed against them. I.e., they tested negative for the urine test.
