to me identifying thrash, esp old skool thrash is easy - and a step higher from thrash, with growling vox and more brutal graphic lyrics, u'd get death metal.
But then i dunno when the music changes to black - coz there's no fine rule of how black metal music should sound...guess black metal is probaby the amalgamation of it all...
anyways, what do i know? haha...

haha...genres genres...as long it's not freakin self-proclaimed emo or nu-metal, all is fine with me!
anyways...i think prob soon ntv7 will get that human rights lawyer and dr wan zawawi to talk on this issue more...

Don't worry dudes. I was on the line with Dr. Wan last nite and he assured us that he will do whatever he can to help the u/g scene. He will explain the struggle we had all this while, the differentiation of musics, the responsibility of media reporting accurate info, etc. Amer the lawyer will talk on the human rights, the differentiation between Black Metal in western countries and Malaysian Black Metal (Dr. Wan will touch on this too).
If you read The Star today, the reports are now a bit on our side now. So, there is light at the end of the tunnel now. What you guys need to do is to approach some organization like ABIM, Jakim, Majlis Fatwa, KDN, etc to expalin this further BEFORE they came up with any Act that against u/g musics.
Well, looks like all the camps (punk, hardcore, grind, crusty, metals, etc) are working together to achieve the same goal. Don't you see that all the scenes are now united now like the old 80's and early 90's? The good all days are coming. "sharing the same table enjoying teh tariks together" |
