A post by Rafil at jamtank that i took. bloody funnie.
**********
I had to frikkin' share this. Got a call from NST an hour ago:
*****
Reporter: Did you notice any indication of Satan Worship at Paul's Place?
Me: No
R: Was there a goat present?
Me: Excuse me?
R: A goat.
Me: Kambing?
R: Ya, kambing.
Me: Kambing hidup?
R: Ya, kambing hidup.
Me: Kambing hidup, lari-lari kat venue Paul's Place?
R: Ya.
Me: Kat luar ada kedai mamak, ada kemungikinan besar diorang jual kari kambing. Tapi dalam venue tak nampak.
R: OK, so takde kambing?
Me: Yang lari-lari kat stage, takde. Kalau tapau kari, roti bawak masuk, saya tak pasti. _________________ "Thus let my enemy's blood be spilled

...just because it features what sounds like the Devil's voice [a GWB rant against terror run through a vocoder] and some distorted instrumentation.
As far as I can tell, most people who're not into metal wouldn't know how to differentiate between thrash and black metal basically because distinctions are blurred when the noise-level [I'm using 'noise' in a purely musical context] goes up. |
to me identifying thrash, esp old skool thrash is easy - and step higher from thrash, with growling vox, u'd get death metal.
But then i dunno when the music changes to black - coz there's no fine rule of how black metal music should sound...guess black metal is probaby the amalgamation of it all...
anyways, what do i know? haha...
ps - to some old skool ppl - cradle of filth is black |
try going to malscene forum and announce that cradle of filth is black.. then u see wat u get.
really... enough of crap from people who don't know but assuming ok. |
haha...genres genres...as long it's not freakin self-proclaimed emo or nu-metal, all is fine with me!
anyways...i think prob soon ntv7 will get that human rights lawyer and dr wan zawawi to talk on this issue more...
rok uuu! |
Don't worry dudes. I was on the line with Dr. Wan last nite and he assured us that he will do whatever he can to help the u/g scene. He will explain the struggle we had all this while, the differentiation of musics, the responsibility of media reporting accurate info, etc. Amer the lawyer will talk on the human rights, the differentiation between Black Metal in western countries and Malaysian Black Metal (Dr. Wan will touch on this too).
If you read The Star today, the reports are now a bit on our side now. So, there is light at the end of the tunnel now. What you guys need to do is to approach some organization like ABIM, Jakim, Majlis Fatwa, KDN, etc to expalin this further BEFORE they came up with any Act that against u/g musics.
Well, looks like all the camps (punk, hardcore, grind, crusty, metals, etc) are working together to achieve the same goal. Don't you see that all the scenes are now united now like the old 80's and early 90's? The good all days are coming. "sharing the same table enjoying teh tariks together" |
woo...brader yourdadisangry from MHI...
rock uuuu!!
bebila ada talk or forums ni, do update us here! Coz knowing they might gonna come up with fatwa is freakin SCARY! society is indeed paranoid on things which they can't comprehend...
anyways, bandi amuk tarak masuk forum ka?

ok this i might be wrong... but this is what a buddy of mine had as an answer.
dance, pop to add hip-hop etc. bende yg tgh popular skang.
it sells... so if it sells there's money flow.
music and what comes with it, fashion etc2
since most of this mainstream music in Malaysia is form outside of Malaysia, that means there's cash flow from outside
i.e Govt makes money(govt income), so why do they want to "kacau" that.
p/s just a conclusion from 3guys over kerang bakar and teh ais.
you guys are free to your opinion. _________________ "Jean Claude Van Damme is back. In the same crap you've seen over and over, and over again"

not really
4 years ago after the 1st black metal issue
Harian Metro cuba2 nak kacau bebudak hiphop lak
tapi berjaya dipatahkan oleh krew Tone magazine
rock music adelah symbol utk rebel generation
aku suspek ade somebody dlm media mmg tak suke metal dan rock
maka dia dan rakan2 cube utk membuat cerita sensasi
utk membantutkan/membunuh perkembangan rock/metal kat mesia
sbb mmg ade org camni kat utusan
setiap kali metal punye show, die bilang bising sampai badak kat hutan bole pekak (die tulis camni kat dlm sokabo tau!)
aku rase ni geng2 yg tak suke tgk org lain sikit dr diorang
geng2 yg tak suke dengar lagu rock
dan mungkin geng2 yg takleh terima kritikan _________________ http://www.adzakael.com |

yeah...Tone rocked when it lived...but sadly it had some subtle political motives as well, so i guess prob some 'eyes' out there weren't very keen on that...
personally, loved it for the articles, but i didnt really like for some of the hidden messages in it...you readers should know more! And those days, the BN werent as strong as it is now...ok, better stop now before i step into some sensitive territories...
actually, i went for an interview to become a writer there...tak lepas coz 1119 kureng power...hohoho....nasib baik lepas tu Klue angkut jadi freelancer...
btw - these familiar names in the urban music journalism world - izuan, adly and abigail were actually from Tone...power to the people! |
