Kalo g Ceriatone, Nik blh buat, dia ade stock kt-88, tp make sure jgn mintak yg giler2 sgt. Ade gak Marshall JCM yg org mod pakai kt-88, mcm Billy Corgan. X sure la kalo org kat sini blh buat ke x...

Dufresne:mmg head triamp tu mahal giler nak mampos..mmg tak mampu lah beli.. .mmg something kan head tur...btw..im a billy corgan die hard fan..
aku mmg nak buat head mod(apa2 head + kt88) camtu tapi rasa nyer ada org mention bley buat kat area tg.malim ker hapa,tak ingat.. aku mmg tak reti lah..tapi kalau ade org bley tolong buatkan..ok gaks..
head orange tu harganyer brapa??..n kat area asia tenggara nie..kat mana bley dpt??..tolong jgn mention ebay.. |

Citt, aku dah agak dah, mesti Corgan punye fan , tp ko kena igt, bkn suma era SP pakai Marshall KT-88 tu. What i know, Strat w/Lace Sensor > Big Muff > Marshall JCM 800 w/KT-88, rig/sound mcm tu time Siamese je, before & after that rig lain...

Orange? Haha...tanye Riki la, dia ade sebijik. Yg aku tau, kat Aussie, utk AD series & Rocket series, paling murah arnd $1600 dollars, lain kedai lain harge...

Blh dpt...makne nyer, ade possibility la, x semestinyer btul2 harge tu...
Kalo nak amp Ceriatone, Rm800 dah dpt 1 head dah, tp amp brand AX84, 5-8 tube watts. Mmg la 8 watts tu rase mcm skit sgt, tp dgn dia blh mintak mod, mcm tukar output dia tinggi skit, something like 20 watts ke. So dr price yg td tu, tambah la skit lg, 2-3 ratus ke, bergantung pd parts. Mcm amp RikiRahman, yg Marshall tu, mmg la 20watts je, but seriously, its very loud...

head ceriatone riki tu 20w jer ke? ingatkan 100w..
pergh kalau nak buat 100watt mesti mahal gila ni..
apa beza 100w dgn 20w selain dari tone richness dan loudness? sebab selalu baca kalau amp tu watt dia rendah, sound dia makin nipis.. betul ke?

Hmmm....x jugak, actually, last time aku order amp from Ceriatone, Nik quote aku Rm1.3k je for a 50watt amp. Tp seriously la, 50 watts dah cukup kuat dah...
Mmg on application, SS amp x sekuat tube amp. Slalunyer, general rule of thumb dia ialah 50watts tube amp same kuat dgn 100watt SS. Basically dia double level volume dia. Tp ade lg yg blh bezakan volume dia; type of power tubes, speaker impedance, headroom, etc.
Amp power rendah sound nipis? Hmmm...
Aku x paham sgt 'sound nipis' tu mcm ne, maybe mcm x de body or bass la kot. Tp kalo amp tu dr series yg same, slalunyer beza dia ialah kat level mane yg blh dpt tone yg same. Let say if amp yg 20 watt tu, tone yg ko nak blh dpt kat volume level 3, maybe utk yg 100 watts, volume dia kena tinggi lg utk dpt tone yg same. Sbb tu amp kecik2 ni org buat practice amp, or warm up amp, sbb blh dpt tone yg same pd volume yg rendah, make sense la...

Yes.. baru faham.. so kalau tubeamp, watt kecik tapi output menyamai SS punya 100 watt..
aku bukan expert pasal sound2 ni, cuma selalu bila aku test guitar kat kedai(test je bukan beli), bila guna 15wat punya amp,, sound dia nipis(yess less body and bass).. tp itu 15watt yg bukan tube rupanya.. hehehhe contohnya - Marshall MG15dfx.
kalau mcm tu nak order kat ceriatone la lepas ni..
Nak tanya:
1. RM1.3k tu utk Combo style amp atau head saja atau Stack?
2. Copy model amp apa?

Tu site dia, info ade kat situ. Kebykkan amp head, tp combo ade gak. BTW, dia buat chasis je, bkn complete amp. Makne nye kalo amp head, chasis je, cover suma x de. Mcm amp Riki, cover yg kayu tu org lain yg buat, bkn ceriatone.
Kalo serious nak, my suggestion is simple; Beli amp2 yg ade kat site tu je, senang skit. Dia mmg blh custom made, amp ape2 pon blh, tp aku suggest jgn la, nak senang/cepat, beli amp2 yg dia slalu jual je. Utk cover head, tanye la dia kalo dia blh buatkan. Ataupun kalo ko rajin, buat sendri la, hehe...

Hmmm...sebenarnye, bkn dia yg buat, tp org lain. Harge aku x igt sgt, x silap dlm Rm300 ke atas la, bergantung kpd material (tolex, etc.). Kalo aku, better buat sendri la, lg best...hehe...

riki's ceriatone "marshall" head is (was?) the JTM45 one, hence a 30-watter, not the 18-watter. with all the trimmings (wooden enclosure etc) it did cost a few ringgit more than what you pay at ceriatone. his 2x12" was custom-made, which also cost a few additional ringgit.
if you want tolex, tweed etc you get it online (riki recommends http://www.tubesandmore.com ).

dealer orange amps di australasia - HK, taiwan, australia and japan. so, maaflah. kena jugak mention eBay. when i helped lift that 1978 mutha (*ahem! wallet wallet wallet - di mana lah dikau... burgerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!)... hehehe... i digress. riki got it from eBay for like £800, then again it was a vintage 70's head. aku tak try, pasal barang orang. hehe.
izuan: memang ceriatone offers stuff at RM1.3k tapi ko kena ambik kira enclosure, tolex etc. tu ribu (yg additional) jugak jadinya. then again, amp ko dapat point-to-point wiring and at ceriatone's price, man - which you will never get if you buy a pt-to-pt from abroad (ltd edition marshalls, std issue mesa, and other boutique amps).
