solo album la..taim live kurang berkenan la aku dengar..ade sesuatu yg kurang ngan bending & vibrato incik slash tu..imho la..
berbalik kepada teknik,so bleh la aku simpulkan di sini yang 'tak kira salah,asalkan kita selesa main & bleh execute mende2 ngan teknik tu,teruskan je!'?
ofkos la..dah tau salah cube btulkan,tapi klau dah prektis2 still tak bleh2@tak selesa..hantam sajalaa
dah try dengar guthrie govan tu..hebat!tapi kurang paham muzik cenggitu.er sape2 ade opinion pasal marcel coenen@sun caged?malmsteen,michael romeo,dino cazares & stephen carpenter punye kembar seiras..kategori badan la hehe!

No matter apa pun kau buat...janji bunyi dia cantik...pakai ajer la apa teknik yg kau pakai...samada teknik org lain ataupun teknik yg direka sendiri.
Salah/betul pada teknik tu ada banyak subjectivity...kalau tengok alternate picking, almost all the great pickers pick different ways...and yet all of them sound great, and their personalized technique gives them their own different musical identity as well. Stressing it again, no matter how you do it, it's difficult to say what technique is right or wrong...but it must sound right 
P.S. ada banyak juga org aku tengok teknik dia betul...but the sound is so wrong!  |

ah tak tahan la nak post panjang lagik..kali ni nak tanye,bro2 otai blajo covers pakai telinga ke tabs?
aku dload incik bro MiN punye scarified..wah!aku baru bleh main intro die sampai 0:30 je hehe.
pastu incik bro dr Bode punye shyboy..toksah cakap la!terkeluar hingus!
so tula,member2 keliling yang blajo gitar tak formal/tak siries cakap aku hustler,padahal aku sindri tau la aku camne.kantoi sokmo,tak clean,lagik satu aku malu..aku blajo lagu sume pakai tabs!melampau la klau tak tere2 pakai tabs!so..?
ala incik bro izuan,aku dah dengar lagu2 upload ko..nyaman dan tenang mendengarnya!best!ni takde bodek2 aa..suci dan ikhlas dari hati hehe..

When I was starting out on guitar, there were no tab books, no internet, no teacher, no instructional videos...nothing...I can remember that when I discovered tapping myself, I havent seen or heard anybody in Malaysia having done it yet(I didnt even know what Eddie Van Halen was doing...when I discovered it, I thought...whoa...this sounds a bit like Van Halen...cooooolll!!!  ).
The good thing about this is it trained my ear, and there are lots of licks which I got wrong, but these 'wrong' licks became part of my personal style now. But the bad thing is I didnt know what are the bad or good habits on the guitar and was totally lost...and I didnt know how exactly the guitar masters play, which is important for everybody's learning process.
By the time there were internet/tabs/videos whatever, I have found my style and wasnt into playing solos exactly the way it was plyed...so if I'm covering the song, I will play my version of it; which may be simpler or more difficult to play than the original. But it is great to learn how the masters do it by reading tabs, watching videos etc etc.
In my opinion...the best way is to combine all these...learn to transcribe by ear...than learn the tab and compare...then you may find somethings that you want to get rid of and some things you did that you wanna keep. If you have the chance, do learn theory and get a teacher as well if you're lucky enough. |

you dah dgr Guthrie tapi tak paham kan....takpe coz die selalu main jenis fusion jazz.....tapi once ko dgr die main other different genres....or perhaps maybe you dig alot of technical stuffs.....die memang boleh setanding ataupun lebih bagus dari beberapa shredders out there.....you name it.....kwkekwkewkek |

errrmmmm....aku rasa dua dua pun bagus.....kena guna telinga dan guna tabs jugak.....jgn paksa diri kalau telinga tak boleh tangkap....sebab tak bagus jugak kalau nak paksa paksa sedangkan kalau kite guna tab kite boleh main lagu tuh....

hehe tengkiu..skang konfiden aku naik balik!aku memang pakai tabs je tapi aku rase la..telinga aku bleh tahan gak la nak carik2..tapi kene reference kat tabs gak la huaha
oh ye,guthrie govan aku dah download yang lelain..wah memang versatile gile die..fusion jazz die memang tak paham,tapi bile masuk part solo jiwang die wah..memang best!
btw,try download marcel coenen-moyra,move that & endless..tak sure la official website die ade lagik tak tapi try suncaged.com..best la lagu2 die..klau takleh dload sun caged punye lagu jela..

ko pakai tab ke, telinga ke...hanya kau saja yg tahu...janji bila main ada feel and it sounds and feels good! And it sounds as close to the ori song...heck, if you're better , u shud make your own interpretation of it.
lagu yg aku dah main ikut suka hatu aku sekarang is Kembara's Gerhana. The ori version is too sempoit for me, the upgraded Mentor version banyak hal...so aku buat rock version sendiri...so far orang tarak complaint...ada extended solo lagi...janji layan!
but dr bode - wa suspek sama lu pasal cari all those complex riffing by ear aje...actually guitarists otai zaman2 dulu sume trained by ear je...
aku kalau tarak tabs, or guitar pro, or guitar tabs...memang sampai sekarang tarak improve main gitar... |

tula..aku pon respek&saspek bro bode ni..camne beliau divide time study sampai jadik dr&playing sampai jadik accomplished otai tu yang aku terbengong2 memikirkannye..aku yg course lagik rendah taraf accounting 1st year pon susah nak bahagi mase..asyik nak main gitar je..kan dah ripit hehe..ha some tips for students cum guitarists,doc?

Wey...ko kena study kuat2 bro...masa free jer baru main gitar...
...kalau nak efficient pasal gitar ni, you have to know & identify your weaknesses first, then give priority towards solving those problems. You may have to sacrifice other things on the guitar, but at least that is how you get better even though you spend very little time on it  |

betul tu....yg penting pelajaran.....kalau ader pelajaran then ader la future....main gitar pun ader gak future tapi lebih berliku dan berduri....cewah.....
kalau ader 10 minit jer untuk main gitar sehari pun aku rasa boleh jadi terrer bergantung pada routine practice la....
lagi baik practis benda yg kita tak berapa pandai main dari practis benda yg kita dah pandai main..
cuba dan try la....

aku rasa ada few stuff yg aku definitely kena belajo:
1) alternate pickin
2) sweep pickin
3) arpegio n stuff...
4) chord substitution etc...
itu saja la... he he...lambat lagi nak jadi gitarist tere...

la kene stadi dulu ke?keke setan dok menghasut main gitar je..walaupon still tak tere2 lagik la..ok2 memang stadi harus diprioritise..bukan aku nak jadik professional pon kan..
aku setuju la pasal prektis ape yang tak tau tu..one great tip!aku takde prektis rutin..improvise2 je..so bleh dikire slow2 menerekan diri gak la kan?
'a few stuff' tu macam merangkumi hampir sume aspek bermain lead je?harhar gurau je bro omar!

hehe..takdelah nak buat lead..cuma nak tau je..actually aku tak minat shredder/shredding ni..ppl like jason becker paul gilbert etc aku jarang dgr... tapi since aku minat gak metal nak juga main cam alexi laiho he he...
on the other hand i'm more fascinated wit jazz guitar...chord substitution , comping , chromatism tu kalau boleh aku nak belajar..tapi aku ni self learner je..so still looong way to go...hehe
