I am still new to the world of guitar, but i do have some fav guitarists.
Eric Johnson - Unbelievable beautiful tone, gentlemenlike showmanship.
Eric Clapton - Meaningful lyrics and liquidlike guitar tone.
Jimi Hendrix - If there ever be someone who can be called " Godfather of
Electric Guitar ", he is the one.
Tommy Emanuel - Haha, he is one of the funniest guitarist i ever know.
He definately PLAY guitar.
BB King - One of the alive legendary master. Just love his Lucille so much.
Yngwie Malmsteen - Perhaps he is the most popular favourite guitarist ?
Sweeping will not be sweeping without him.
Jason Becker - Gifted guitarist but tragedy in fate. He suffers from illness
which similar to Stephen Hawkin if i'm not mistaken
Steve Vai - Excellent showmanship and unbelievable creativity.
Imagination is the word.
Joe Satriani - Dancer on the fretboard. I just love his hairstyle.
Nuno Bettencourt - EXTREME. Handsome guitarist with demonlike playing
style.

1. must be Paul Gilbert - try hearing anything for u solo, blown away..
2. Nuno Bettencourt - fire and ice + more than words.. great work..
3. van halen - who can resist the eruption?
4. brian may - a genius in his own way!
5 . Joe Satriani - cryingggggg....
6. Prince - weird but effective
7. Sham Kamikaze - all rounder.. i actually like the way he reaarrange oldies..
8. Dave Mustaine - the guy with 10,000 riff
9. John Frusciante
10. all the guitarist who play the 10 second solo particulary during the early 90's tune ( easy lover - phil collins, nothing gonna stop us - startship.. much more... these guy are awesome!)

i just think that they shouldnt be left out.. although their part is just a little, but their work is great! although i hardly can recognize anyone of them..
