THe most i like was when hillary ang join search. His experimental, riff, progression, so good. but after the album karisma, when Kid join the band, i think that Search has lost their touch...

definitely i dont agree... kid bring the trademark tone of search.. his playing style does put some flavour into search. his non-dependent to scales is really awesome.. i grew up listening to him.. i prefer him than hillary.. but no disrespect to hillary, he is one of a hell guitarist tooo.... _________________

I know that you can learn metal without ever looking or studying it from any book. But I found the books from Troy Stetina namely 'Metal Rhythm Guitar, Metal Lead Guitar and Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar quite good. Rhythm and Lead guitar's book came in 2 series : 1 and 2. Check it out at http://www.stetina.com/ _________________ "Augmented scales can turn you into a giraffe.." an anonymous giraffe |

IMHO...when you learn to play metal from a book... you risk limiting your playing... especially rhythm...metal is a lot about the rhythm - if not all. Metal is also better in a progressive form - to monotony. |

i totally agree with ridzi. ini adalah satu isu yg besar melanda kita disini, kebanyakkan org skang nie asyik dok tiru style org, tu yg susah nak naik, xder identity. ader yg xmau improve langsung, asyik buat bender sama over and over again, dah naik muak org dgr, kekeke.
yes, i'm one of em, xder identity dalam permainan gtr, but i'm trying to find one |

Well I guess we all knew that right?
Of course we must learn to develop our own sound/style etc
But don't we all begin somewhere before proceeding there?
Anyways, I meant to ask what are some scale patterns n signature licks tt Dimebag uses in his playing.... |
