aku dah biasa ibanez zaman early 90s - sume neck nipis giler beb, so tu lah pasal GIO aku rasa macam gemuk semacam...hehe...

just picked up my guitar tadi kat guitar store hartamas...and waddaya know...hillary ang the master was there!!
so dapat ler sembang dgn dia kejap pasal cerita2 gitarist2 power malaysia macam edri hashim, sharul eka, jamie, dll...best siot...hillary cakap melayu fasih gilos...
and i found out that apparently a lot of great guitarists in m'sia sent their guitar for servicing there...
service charge for my guitar tadi :-
parts: whammy bar + neck allen key lock - rm70
service: charge for intonation, change string, fret levelling, re-setting up the FR, adjust truss rod sikit dll - < rm100
so in total for all that (parts + service) - aku kena < rm200 je...and the guitar sings now....hehe...i love it!
the only drawback of the guitar is prolly the freakin lifeless stock PU...the tone for the bridge PU is soo not tight but i love the neck PU. So i might have to change the bridge to SD or dimarzios soon ..duit duit duit lagi...errgggh..
also since the guitar uses the old version of FR (single lock), takdeler ok sgt FR tu but it still keeps my stuff in tune after main2 dgn bar dia. Also, nak replace tali pun nampak macam tak complex sgt...coz tak yah nak buka allen key lock byk sangat.,
so kira ok ler guitar store ni..u guys shud check it out...jgn nak mintak diskoun lebih2 dah ler...
still, aku teringin nak melawat klassik a someday gak...saja curious...coz heard a lot of nice stuff abt this place as well...kira macam tempat nak convert kancil jadi mira or proton jadi evo lah kot...haha

ps - sad but true news - hillary cakap cromok dah susah nak ada balik coz sume musicians depa busy giler...apparently Sam is a specialist engineering for some telco, so mamat ni giler2 busy, dia nak practice pun tak sempat...kesian...
but lets all ust hope that cromok will continue to rock us all sampai bila2! ive been layaning them since 91 tu...zaman VSP...those were the days... |
