alrighty boys and girls, we finally got round to recording our tracks on to cd, and this is the final result[well.. not juuust yet!]
we've got 'why' up, proper version, full band.. heeere
and, a track that we're pretty proud to say we did OURSELVES..... here's our dashboard confessional cover of hands down.
heheh... enjoy. 
oh, and please. we welcome comments. good or bad! just say something!! |

by saying "how a cover should be done"... honestly, in my opinion, the cover was terrible.
yeah maybe the other band who covered the song didn't play the instrument themselves, but, that's no excuse to actually say as quoted. in my opinion, the excuse is unacceptable. maybe you guys should've just uploaded the song and keep your thoughts to yourself. even if we are amatuers, we could at least act a bit professional. don't you think? oh well, maybe i am getting it wrong.
you guys might have something to say to that, but yeah, just my honest opinion. no hard feelings.

what do u mean by doing it "ourselves". it's a cover song isn't it?ouh you mean you covered the song with the complete line up of your band? the cover was not that great, (i wanna say awful and terrible, but i still have to give some credit somehow for the enthusiasm)
plus, you guys even dare to rename the song as Hands Down[the way a cover should be!] dude , that is like condemning others who'd already covered the band.. i was hoping to hear something cool when i saw this song topped the chart. but... oh well... no offense mate. 
that's what you get when you're doing cover songs... if it sucks ppl will critique.. unless u're playing ur own stuff.. even if it's suck ppl would just have to live with it becoz it's not somebody else's song.. it's urs... so think about it.. if we wanna hear a better covers, we'll go the hotel lounge. if we wanna hear new stuff.. we'll go to ibands.. heheh am i right? no..?

Playing covers puts pressure on the artist/s involved because that artist's rendition will be compared with the original version's performance by the original band.
We did 2 covers here on i-bands...and damn...the pressure to live up to the expectations was crazy.. |

Given the choice i would go with the other band's version... I dont understand why you put that remark...because it brinks on bitchiness..
LN13's version of this song is downright awful...and you guys definitely need to practice playing it properly. (just to take you off that high pedestal for bit)
So get off your high horse and play nice ok??

Sorry dude...even on i-bands, here lurks the loudest fucking lounge band of all...Bode's Noise Box...order your drinks...put down your requests...sit back...relax...and put those goddamn ear plugs because it's gonna hurt...

Ok, ok...seriously, giving LuckyNumber13 the benefit of the doubt, I think maybe the remark "the way a cover should be" was probably tounge in cheek and they don't take it seriously at all...but too bad guys, I think even if the original intention was for it to be as a joke, people might misinterpret it as egotistical and it kinda backfires...see? Playing a cover heightens listeners' expectations...as if that is not bad enough...the remark pushes the expectations to even a higher level.
