Yes, I can do the trem installation. Left hand Floyd type trems may be hard to find, but that's not such a problem. Anyway, these two can be modified for LH use by drilling a hole on the other side and moving the arm socket over. You'll have an extra hole in yr trem but it won't have any bad effect. I don't know what unit you have in mind but as long as the block is directly in the centre and the arm socket is separate from it then it can be done. This will cost around RM200, includes trem mod, installing on the guitar, Locking nut installation, setup & intonation. Strings not included.
There are two options if you want to have a fixed bridge. The easiest is to use a couple of pieces of wood to wedge the trem block so it doesn't move. No cutting, drilling or gluing, you can remove them at any time. RM30, if including setup & intonation RM60.
Second option is to remove the block from the plate, glue a shaped piece of wood into the hole, drill it for the strings and screw the plate onto it. You can use the old plate. You'll get more of the "wood" sound this way. Cost of this depends on wether you want to fill just the block hole or the whole spring cavity as well, and wether you want to respray or just use the cover plate to hide it. RM200-250 incl setup etc. Respray from 300 depending on type of finish (solid colour, metallic, sunburst etc).

off topic -
camp tu hopefully next year ada lagi..memang berbaloi siot...aku rasa paling best hari tu kelas jazz...yg tak best kelas rock...haha..
blues sama julian cool gak...coz bila time free member akan main lagu2 dia kasi layan...sume melopong je tgk...
it was more of a general exposure to me on the different types of guitar playing...
kalau nak further info on this - try call GIM and tanya dia...from the response of the previous camp, i'll bet they're gonna organise more with ASK...
if not...kita organise sendiri je---blues izzi jadi instuctor, metal deadzid...lagu tiga kupang (pasal petrol naik 3 kupang) - aku... |
