*Turn on more serious mood...

Kudos to u Sangap, for bringing up something that i've been thinking for a while, but couldnt care less to create a new thread...malas, hehe... Smile I get what u're talking about, & if u dont mind u'd like to say something...

I bought my Jap made RG back in 98 for Rm1100, after 10% off. Back then Korean made Ibanezes were below than Rm900, the high-end RGs were arnd Rm1.8k-Rm2k++. Back in 03/04, Ibanez SZ was arnd Rm1.5-1.8k, Korean made RGs were arnd that too, but for a Jap made one, u'd need at least Rm2.2k for a mid range model, Steve Vai's Jem was about Rm6k. Few weeks ago i went to Bentley, Korean made SZ was Rm1.7k, and any Jap made RGs was about Rm3k, & Steve Vai's Jem was exactly Rm10500 Shocked . See where im going with this?

Aku rase la kan, nowadays its not really bout quality/perception anymore, aku rase its simply the fact that the prices have gone up, tu je. Most ppl r not on board with this, x blh buat ape la. Kalo aku jd seller pon, i'd have a very hard time justifying the prices to ppl.

The market for musicial gears is not big in M'sia, so not many ppl r involve in justifying prices for gears. Bkn nye mcm kete; CKD cars (local assemble) lg murah dr CBU (import) cars of the same model, that's how the government dictates the pricing. But brand Line6 (including Flextone series) yg buat kat Melaka still mahal gak, same harge mcm everywhere in the world. Kalo aku jual brg Line6, & ade customer with that knowledge demands a justification for the price, mmg x blh jwb la...

Forget perception, quality, where it was manufactured, etc. Personally i think for some brands prices have gone up, for whatever the reason. My Rm 0.02...

Cheers... Cool

jgn lupa permainan happy meal yg korang dulu nk sgt tu china made gak... hehe Razz

brader...lu lahir zaman lain beb...

zaman aku dan maybe a fews other sini, mana wujud lagi happy meal time kita orang...kita orang sume main china made ding dang or kalkitos, or main guli dunno made from where...gosh...that was really really a looong long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

actualy china made is not that bad - sesapa kaki spa sure tahu, those from china jugak lagi popular beb...kalau nak lain sikit, bleh gak dapat uzbek or russian ...ooops

(aku dengar cerita je ni...hehe)

sorry...terkeluar topic sat...

whatever pun - now i have two low end ibanez made from korea, this was b4 china made ibanez exists i think. My ibanez Ex from korea tu quality wise on its electronics memang gagal sikit...because maybe time tu korea was just starting out as a dumping area for cheap labour...but i guess as years go by, their quality had improved tremendously..

same like china - their goods awal 2 dulu cam hampeh, now as their RnD progresses, i think it could be at par with most other products from other countries - coz they're getting better and better in producing great goodies whilst cutting costs down...

macam the progress of dvd - when ppl are fighting about which new dvd format which should rule the world (ie. hd dvd vs blu ray)...the chinese made their own format...and sapa yg confuse nanti, kita consumers jugak...

anyways, china ok coz kalau beli bila rosak tak nangis...since 1999 i bought myself 4 dvd players already...mula2 keluar in 99 rm380...la ni rm99 pun dah dapat siot...tahun depan kalau harga murah lagi, pasar malam maybe dah boleh jual dvd player apart from all the durian and durian dvds...

i'm still waiting for a cheap china made bimmer...

ya, they are getting better and better.

the price maybe a lil bit high, but its reasonable lah. mcm dufrense ckp, harga dah fix, mana2 pun sama eventho barang tu dibeli kat tempat ia dibuat. my roland cube 15 is malaysian made, harga sama dgn luar, sound sumer ok, support malaysia Very Happy

ade gak ek orang sanggup layan surat kurang rasmi aku keke.

pasal quality, memang tak bleh nak compare sangat kat mane buat etc pasal tak semestinye die kontrol atau tak kontrol kualiti kat kilang.tu ikut company punye prinsipla.however,i was referring to the price, which if an instrument is made in a country where the wages, resources are low,the perception/satisfaction people have towards the country's production is not that high then they should lower the price la.tu je..pasal ko cakap 'its not really an issue'..aku kurang setuju la.tapi cam biase, pendapat masing2 la.ceh nyesal gak aku tulih panjang2 smalam, ayat kat atas ni cukup dah keke.

aku ni dok cakap pasal resources, perception pejadah tu bukan ape, dipaksa bace pasal aku ni ambik course berbau bisnes2 gakla wakiki.kire aku pikir dari sudut teori bisnes la.aku bukan suke sangat tulih siries2,post sengal2 lagik best huaha.

rg_x2n,roland cube ko buat kat mesia?aku punye microcube asal taiwan/china@tak ingat?cis..dan ko ex-devastator ek?aku pnah main ngan korang kot tahun lepas..tak tau la ko ade lagik tak taim tu?

meh, i still stand by my words. maybe market kat sini jerk yg teruk, nak kene ikut perception, tgk jer industry *ehem* kita... kalo kat luar, mmg lain, seriously.

yup, i'm an ex-devastator's bassist, slalu lah jamm kat pandan. but thats the past mate, cheers Very Happy

hey sangap .no man i havent heard of her. anyway i don't think i am really into guitar now ..lolz...you will realize there are alot of good guitarist out there especially on the internet ..the problem is 95% of it are just the same thing ..alternate picking, sweep picking, string skip tapping .etc..if it isn't paul gilbert influenced then it would be a malmsteen influenced thing...kinda got bored of it.theres more to life than playing guitar.cheers Smile
