1. if u wanna shred, u have to learn to play fast?
2. if u wanna shred, u have to play thousand note in 4 minutes?
3. the best guitarist make the best music?
i'm demoralise with these two question...

1. if u wanna shred, u have to learn to play fast?
= bagi aku speed tuh salah satu je, banyak lagi kena learn,, arpegio, blues, picking, melody, dan banyak lagi...
2. if u wanna shred, u have to play thousand note in 4 minutes?
= start with 50km/j,,, huehue
3. the best guitarist make the best music?
= its idea bukan pasal hebat ke tak,...pendapat aku je,...

shredding is not about playing fast , not about playing as many techniques as posible.
for me shredding is just a level ..
being a shredder is like being a guitar virtuoso
..if you want to shred? you gotta be good in guitar in every aspect..
about the last question...
i heard from many sessionist ...what is harder than shredding , playing jazz,choosing mature melody ?
it is composing a great song at the same time it sells and at the same time it is awesome . take michael jackson - beat it for example..great song..
was it composed by the best musicians ?

I second that... Be a shredder is not only about playing fast.. u have to know alot of stuffs... scales.. and have to be precise of course...
and the 3rd 1.. Best Guitarist makes the best Music ??? Errr not necessarily .. Best Guitarist + Best Musician makes good music.....
some guitarist may play very very very good but not necessarily he can makes very good musics.. while I think if we can do it both.. then it is good... everything must be balance...
well, just my opinion ya..

so u mean u need to be superior in any aspect and master all the technique before u can shred/ wanna shred?

^of course...name a few good shredders around...Steve Vai , Paul Gilbert , Malmsteen..
tell me what are they lacking of ?
Speed ? technique ? theory ? phrasing ? vibrato ? clarity ? dynamics ?
they have it all...well..maybe malmsteen doesn't have a nice body..

shred means playing fast.
playing legato, alternate picking, arpeggios, or anything you can do on the guitar and play it fast. that was what shredding all about during the 80s.

so clapton isnt consider as a blues shredder la? i thought shred ni more on ppl who are playing solo all the time... some sort of that la..
speed is a need huh..

Bagi aku la...If dah nama nak jadi Shredder tu...Mmg kena laju laa...Tapi playing gitar is not about speed...Speed tu satu element dlm playing...Unless kalau nk title shredder..YES!!
Best guitarist make the best music...Maybe yes...If the guitarist ada lots of ilmu dlm arranging...Tapi in terms of music for the guitarist (Mcm lagu Vai, Satch, Eric Johnson, Gary Hoey) can be considered yes..Tapi apa2hal pun kena byk influence laa...that's my humble opinion...
