aku dah 2-3 bulan survey guitar 7 strings. memuler, ingatkan nak bli ESP LTD MH400 then downtune to B, tapi rasa malas plak, baik angkat jer 7 strings. so far, dalam shortlist aku adalah:
ibanez RG1527 (RM3200)
ibanez RG7321 (RM2+++)
ESP LTD MH 7 strings (RM3+++)
ESP LTD Viper 407 (RM4+++)
grass roots 7 strings (RM3800)
ESP LTD viper407
sumer price over rm2000, and the worse choise dalam list aku nie, IMO is the grass root model tu, tapi sound dier ok gak lah, aritu try kat GC. buat masa nie aku lebih kat RG1527 tuh... tapi rasa mcm mahal skit, i know it will be worth it, but tu la kalo ader lagi murah skit dan baik, nak gak aku tgk...
aku baget, kalo dapat 7 strings yg under rm2000, nak gak sambar, tapi NO BC RICH please ( no offence zink). boleh x korang recommend skit? kalo korang ader pilihan lain, boleh x bgtau aku secara detail, kat kedai mana, DLL...? second hand pun ok gak...
so far skang nie aku ader rm1000, esok aku jual amp, dapatlah dalam rm1500 campur gaji aku skit...

Walaupun aku tak tau satu apa pun pasal 7-stringers, aku macam ESP/LTD bias sket. Viper tu nampak bekeng (yang dalam gambar tu kan?). Diorang dah sumbat EMG dalam tu kan. Inlay pun ketat tuh...
Haha takat tu je la input aku kut. Brader² lain sure lagi banyak tau...

Macam bila tengok awek la. Uih ketat tuhhhh...
Haha... aku rasa lawo la inlay mcm gitu. Nak kata block tak gak. Dia macam block yang ada lenggok sikit. Something different... definitely eye-catching.
It pwns those naga/helang sakti inlays PRS makes IMO.  |

meh, body wood aku x brapa kisah, asalkan dier ok, cukup. all i really care is the price, samada aku boleh afford atau tidak... kalo yg mahal tu btul2 worthy, aku mungkin akan kumpul duit and grab one... so far yg paling mahal pun yg viper tu lah...
yup, i know all the listed guitar's spec... only the price jer yg membuat aku pening, sumer barang baiekk... |

did u check out sevenstring.org?
i think most of the guys there uses Ibanez RG
If i have the money i would a schecter over a RG anytime...hahaha...not fan of RGs ... |

but just based on the bodyshape, i would go for the Viper, cos i'm a big fan of the SG shape...
but kena sacrifice balance la, SG shapes tend to be neck heavy, meaning when you stand still and not holding your neck, it will dive.
for example tgk video Deftones - Digital Bath kat Leno, yg tu die pakai Gibbo SG, Deftones - Change Live on Letterman, yg ni die pakai LTD Viper
carik kat you tube berlambak ade....

Fuhyoh...RG7321 Rm2k lebih? Gilak...dulu 1st time kluar Rm1.8k je tu, hopefully MIJ la...
I've nvr played the 2 ESPs and the Grassroots, but i have played the 2 RGs, & they both great axes, esp the 7321, worth the money. Tp skarang ni dah Rm2k lebih, personally aku rase mcm mahal skit la, only bcuz dulu murah lg. The 1527 is like another RG, but with a Prestige neck. The pickup sounds very close like a DiMarzio PAF Pro, so x yah tukar pon x pe. The 7321 is even easier, simple & lg senang nak maintain. I've these 2 and also an Universe, 3 different axes with 3 different neck treament, but if u're used to an Ibanez neck, adapting to the 7 strings Ibanezes is easy...
Viper 407 tu nampak garang siut, siap dpt EMGs lg tu. Should be the 707, sepasang pickup tu je dah Rm1k dah for aftermarket price. Mmg x yah mod...

umm...
if metal youre playing, pick the one with emg pups, and with less knobs.. hehe
inlay pun memainkan peranan dalam tone woo... kalau inlay tengkorak lagi menakutkan bunyi dia... kalau naga/helang sakti tu aku tatau, lagi dahsyat kot. |

dah tgk kat sana lama dah, byk custom made lah... mmg brand pelik2, ibanez pun byk gak tapi sumer model2 yg dah discontinued...
aku masukkan viper tu pun sebab aku penah tgk sorg budak UK pakai, pergh mmg cun... lain drp yg lain dan ader identity yg tersendiri...
schecter mmg masyuk gak, ader siap bat inlay (omen series eh?), tapi pengedar dier kat sini mcm x idup jerk...

dude, ko ader universe?!!! wah... ehem, yg 7321 tu xnak tolak kat aku ker...
x silap aku RG7321 tu rm1800-2200 gak lah... xder beza sgt, and its korean made, with 5 piece maple neck...
ok so, kalo nak dibandingkan drp segi spec, aku rasa viper tu mmg menang besar, kalah RG1527.... the RG pun standard tuner gotoh x silap aku, i read about it kat mana ntah, 2006 nyer prestige sumer pakai tuners gotoh... but viper comes with stock EMG pups... hm2...
do i need a trem...? soalan nie pun bermain di fikiran aku... |
