I came across an old catalog of Squier Vista models and instantly fell in love with this
I was just wondering if you guys had any idea whether it is still in production or not, and how much it would cost.

its to my understanding that this model has been phased out. not sure if you can find a used one and what the prices would be like... 
on another note, omar rodriguez lopez of At the drive in / mars volta used this guitar, moded it to make it a lefty guitar.
it was his only guitar during ATDI days i believe.

ok did some double checking....sbb aku minat giler gak guitar ni...hehe.. 
1st batch came out in 97, as part of the vista series...owh hang dah ckp pasai tu... 
eniwei...production stopped in late 90's most probly 99'
even though this guitar is a Squier and has numerous flaws to it...
its high on the wanted lists of collectors
notable flaws, the trem, notorius to go out of tune and the crappy stock P/u
eventhough it is label'd as "duncan designs"
its actually el'chepo duncans, knock'd off from some korean factory
and no spart parts were manufactured, but the common strat parts fit in perfectly.
in its heydays.. a super sonic would retail for £190.
as of around 2002/2003 the goin price for a used Supersonic was
between £200-£300 and sometimes more

oh thanks eric cartman! that's a shame, dah phased out! i kinda had hope that Sonics were still around because a guitar i recently acquired, a Jagmaster, was also discontinued (however, I ordered my Jag at Bentley amd got it within 3 months). I asked the Bentley dude about the Sonic and he, well, buat muka blur.
I guess kena cari dkt ebay la kot...

owh...thats cos the jagmaster was brought back into production in 2002 and phased out once again in 2005 and replaced with the jagmaster II.
these reproductions the 2002 jagmaster and jagmaster II are made in china
the older vista series were made in japan.
so depending on when you bought your jagmaster, it might be a jagmaster or a jagmaster II

mine's a made in china jagmaster ii...the one they said had the short scale jaguar neck...
aku ade member yg dulu had a Super Sonic...Sonic dia kena curi dkt Hartamas during a gig...dia pun kata beli kat Ebay...that is gonna cost me an arm or a leg kot...arghhh...
I stubled across a Mustang dekat Guitar Gallery, Ampang. RM4000. Gile la...bukan sepatutnya those are 'reject' Fenders ke, as opposed to top of the range Strats and Teles? Mahal gile siyot...

mustang tu bukanla reject fenders, its just ppl tend to favour the strat and tele when it comes to fender.
kinda like being familiar around the course so to say.
